Up your avocado toast game with these toppings

 

Avocado toast is definitely having a moment right now, and for good reason. Who doesn't love a layer of creamy deliciousness on a thick slice of multigrain bread? Yum. And if you're looking for a way to spice up your avo toast, we've got you covered with a few topping combo ideas for the best breakfast yet.

Start with two slices of good quality bread (extra points if it's homemade!). Toast until warm and crispy and spread with ripe avocado, or layer thin wedges for an Insta-worthy breakfast. Then choose from the following add-ons to take it up a notch.

 

 Pass the cheese please. Crumble some Feta or goat cheese on top of your toast for an extra tangy bite.

Add a southwestern flair with pico de gallo and chopped cilantro. 

 

For a breakfast that'll keep you full until lunch, top with a protein-packed fried egg (and if you prefer scrambled, that works too).

 

Who says your avo toast has to be savory? Try this "fruit salad" version to satisfy your sweet tooth. We recommend sliced strawberries, pomegranate and pineapple. But feel free to use your faves.
