10 ways to transform your room with the color of the year

Feeling…radiant? Well, with the color of the year Pantone #18-3224—also known as Radiant Orchid—why not? From little tweaks you can do in just a few minutes to afternoon projects that’ll give you a big punch of color, here are 10 ways to trick out your space.

Have white or neutral walls? Try painting the trim.

Paint the inside of your door for a flash of color.

Line the back of your bookshelves with colored wall paper.

Spray paint drawer pulls and dresser knobs.

Buy a couple yard of cotton fabric and braid a rag rug.

Hang inexpensive purple sheer curtains over your windows.

Arrange pillar candles in various sizes on your dresser.

Toss some squashy throw pillows on your bed.

Hang shadow boxes with simple frames and deep purple mats. Put in simple, pretty decorations or pictures.

Instead of painting your desk chair, add a cushion.
