Super Easy Ways to Eat Healthy during Vacay!

Summer might make ya think of hot dogs and fair food (hello, funnel cake!), but it can be super easy to eat good foods in the summertime. Fresh fruits and veggies make eating healthy way simple, and in some portions some treats are A-OK.
Here are some easy tips for eating healthy this summer:

Instead of a bag of chips, pack berries for a snack. Blackberries, strawberries, raspberries and cherries are in season in the summer, so they'll be fresh. Berries have tons of nutrients like vitamin C, and are way less fatty than chips.

Need to chill? Fruit smoothies are a great option, if you leave out super-sweet frozen yogurt and sugary juice. Just stick frozen fruit, like strawberries or sliced peaches, in a blender with some plain yogurt to make a delish snack.

Pass by the Snickers and stick grapes in your freezer. They make a sweet ‘n’ icy great and pack plenty of vitamins. Need to curb a chocolate craving? Make some pudding and then pour a bit in a Dixie cup. Put tin foil over the top and stick a popsicle stick through it. Throw them in the freezer. You’ll have an icy treat by the morning!

If you’re at a fair or BBQ, go for grilled food instead of fried. Not only does it have way less fat, but grilling adds great flavor. Grilled chicken is a healthy alternative to sodium-packed summer foods like hot dogs, and grilled veggies are so yummy, it's easy to get in your daily quota.

Drink up, no matter what. It’s easy to forget to drink water when you're chillin' on the beach with friends, but it's super important to get enough liquids when temperatures rise. Add lemon or strawberry slices to give your water an extra punch.
