Eat Right

You can make these easy brekkies in less than 10 minutes

In the morning before school is probably the most hectic time of your day. Between remembering to pack up all your school stuff and fighting for bathroom time with your big sis, breakfast might be the last thing on your mind.

Enter: These five super easy recipes to make in the morning (or the night before!) so you can catch some extra zzzs.

Breakfast Popsicles
This is a recipe to make the night before and freeze overnight. All you need is yogurt, fruit, and popsicle molds (or use little paper cups and popsicle sticks!).

Directions: Layer yogurt and fruit chunks until your cup is full, then add your sticks. It looks super cute if you put the fruit slices on the side of the mold. Freeze overnight and in the morning take them out of the mold and enjoy a cold breakfast on the go!

Eggs-in-a-pepper
This is another two-ingredient recipe to make in the morning. You just need eggs and a bell pepper.

Directions: Cut the peppers so that they are circular shaped with a hole in the middle. Put the peppers on a pan on low to medium heat. Once it's hot, crack an egg directly into the pepper. Add any spices, herbs or cheese on top of the egg. Cook to either over-easy or over-hard.

Yogurt Parfaits
Not only are these parfaits yummy, but put them in a mason jar and voila! you've got yourself an Insta-ready meal, too.

Directions: Add yogurt and fruit to the jar in any order until it's full. Top with granola or any kind of crunchy snack like nuts, hemp or chia.

Avocado Toast
Avocado toast is fast, easy and will keep you full!

Directions: Toast your bread and set aside. In a bowl, mash up an avocado with a dash of olive oil, lemon juice, red pepper flakes and salt and pepper. Spread the mixture on the toast evenly and add more seasoning to taste. You can even add eggs, fruits, vegetables,  cheese or meat on top!

Frozen Banana on a stick
You can make this in the morning or the night before, and it's perfect for dashing to catch the bus at the last sentence.

Directions: Cut a banana in half and peel then place on a baking sheet. Stick a popsicle stick into one of the ends. Spread almond butter, peanut butter or Nutella onto the banana. Put whatever toppings you'd like on the banana like granola, chocolate chips, chia or nuts. Finally place in the freezer until solid and enjoy in the AM!
