Go ahead, feast with the fam!

Turkey day is here, ladies! And it turns out that the ever-popular day of thanks and feasting carries along some added weight: the benefits of family dinnertime.

Sure, family meals may seem like just yet another one of those trivial traditions, but MSN New Zealand is throwing out some new deets that say otherwise.

Apparently, the nightly gathering does more than just the obvi in improving parent-child relationships, it even encourages teen wellbeing.

Makes sense, doesn't it?  A better relationship with your folks means a better, stress-free home environment.  Such a small concept goes a looong way, chicas. A recent study shows that noshing with the fam can lead to less risky decision making, less alcohol/drug use or abuse and fewer instances of mental health issues. Now that’s something to be thankful for!
