6 fitness trends not to nix before ya try 'em

Fitness classes can sometimes seem silly and embarrassing, especially if they’re in a public place where you know someone could be watching. But when it comes down to being in great shape, the ones who are LOL-ing just haven’t given it a shot yet. We have a list of fab-fun exercise classes that will def keep you busy this season.

Warm up with hot yoga

A heated room warms up your muscles, and your sweat will def cool you down. Once only a form of meditation, this work out has girls everywhere finding their inner yogi when they dive into downward dog and lunge into warrior one.

Get your Zumba on

Even those of us who never, ever took a dance class before are obsessed with these Latin moves. Put to fast pop music, you totally forget this is a fitness class. Grab your besties and get dancing in this intensely fun workout.

Just keep spinning

Uphill, downhill, cross training or flat ground, you choose the difficulty of your biking course in spin class. So basically, you make it as challenging as you’d like! An instructor will be there to encourage you and your classmates as everyone pedals away on an imaginary course.

A little H2O

Believe us, water aerobics isn’t just for the old ladies at the swim club. Arm and leg workouts are intensified when you’re in the pool, as the water adds extra resistance. An instructor will lead the exercise from land, and you’ll be working out while cooling down at the same time.

Think outside the box

A kick-boxing workout balances strength and skill, and this fierce fitness regimen is becoming really popular among girls as much as it is with guys. Tone your legs and arms and work those abs because this work out is serious fun.

Sync, don’t swim

Dancing… in the water? You bet ya. Like Zumba, synchronized swimming involves plenty of fun music. You gotta put your time in to learn the routine, but you’ll def want to perform your moves in a final show. And you’ll meet tons of other crazy-fun girls while you’re at it.

Have you used any of these workouts? Which are you most psyched to try? We want to know.
