5 ways to conquer stress and have a worry-free day

Hey there, busybee. Is your heavy workload causing you stress? Even though it might seem common, stress can take a serious toll on your body. Low energy, headaches, tense muscles and an upset stomach are *all* side effects of stress. Don't fret—work off that worry with these tips for a less stressful school day.

Plan out your day the night before
Every day before you go to bed make a plan for tomorrow. Jot down a quick list of things to do and accomplish. Stick to your list and check each task off one by one. Writing your to-dos down will ensure you don't forget anything and keep the stress at bay.

Schedule an hour a day for homework
Schedule one hour each day for your homework. This way you will have time set aside for the things you need to accomplish. Depending on your workload, you may need to schedule more time. Just remember to have a little fun too, okay?

Unplug
Unplugging can be tough, but social media apps can be a HUGE distraction and cause *major* stress. If you need to stay focused, turn off your phone until your job is done. (Reward yourself with a li'l Snapchat later.)

Eat right
If you are stressed and worried about your workload, eating junk will make you feel worse. Instead, eat foods that are right for you and your body. Look for foods that will make you feel energized and full—like a crunchy kale salad!

Rest up
Sleep is sooo important. Not just sleep, but ‘self-care.’ You can’t achieve the things you want to without taking care of yourself first. Make your mind and body your number one priority and the rest will follow.
