Workouts

Turn your chores into a workout (yes, really!)

Feeling too lazy to make it to the gym? Try getting in a workout with your house chores. Not only will your mom be happy that you *finally* cleaned, you'll be snagging some exercise and toning up.

Vacuuming
Vacuuming can seem long and annoying. Change things up by adding some lunges and dancing to your fave song while doing it. It's a great 30-minute leg workout.

Tidying up your room
While it might not feel like it at the time, cleaning actually reduces stress hormones that hold on to fat in your body. Not to mention, a decluttered bedroom is great for your mental health.

Ironing
Ironing tones the muscles of your upper body—do it standing up and switch arms for a balanced bi-and-tri exercise.

Cooking
Cooking is another great way to sweat! While waiting for your food to be ready, try stretching, dancing around or bodyweight exercises like squats and lunges. Bonus if you're cooking a healthy meal.

Climbing the stairs
Whether you are mopping or cleaning up some dirt on the stairs, climbing the stairs is another great exercise. While cleaning, try going up and down the stairs to make it a workout—the more trips, the better.

Washing the car
Volunteer to clean your parents' car(s) for an all-over workout. The harder you scrub, the more you'll work those arms and back.
