5 fab workouts you can do with your bestie
Two is definitely better than one! Exercising with your bestie can push you to go that extra minute in your workout routine. Seeing the results of both of your progress is even more motivating. Try these fun workouts next time you and your gal pal hit the gym together!
1. Partner squats
No equipment necessary! Face your bestie and hold hands. Position your feet to spread out wider than hip distance. Squat down together until thighs are parallel to the ground. Come up and repeat.
2. Band core twists
You will need a resistence band for this. Grab one side of the band while your partner grabs the other side. Stand upright and keep your abs tight. In unison, twist just your upper body away from eachother, then come back. Repeat.
3. Sit up pass
With a medicine ball, get in sit-up position on the ground facing each other, with just your heels planted on the ground. Keep your knees and toes up. Do sit-ups at the same time while passing the medicine ball each time you come up.
4. Reach-and-touch plank (patty cake!)
Get in plank position, high off the ground and facing each other head to head, keeping a one-foot distance in between. In the same position throughout, both you and your bestie will lift your right hand and reach for each other. Then switch to the left. Keep doing this for about 30 seconds.
5. Wheelbarrow push-up
You or your bestie will get in push-up position while the other stands behind the legs, lifting them off the ground. Do the push-up in correct form for a few reps then switch positions!
