Five ways to get motivated to work out

Does your fitness game need a bit of a boost? Here are five ways to get instantly motivated to move.

1. Create a bomb playlist

Create a playlist with all your favorite upbeat songs. You know, those songs that leave you no choice but to bust a move. And only listen to that playlist when you’re at the gym. That way you’re so excited to listen to your fave music, you’ll race to hop on the treadmill.

2. Invest in cute workout attire

Buy workout clothes that make you feel like a track star. Make sure they are functional to get a really good workout in, but don’t be afraid to be cute for the gym. It’ll give you all the motivation you need to get those abs.

3. Snag a workout buddy

Ask your friends to work out with you a couple times a week so you can hold each other accountable. Trust us, gasping for breath as you finish your 2 mile run on the treadmill is so much better with a friend beside you. 

4. Envision your end goal

What’s your big fitness goal? Do you want to build muscle, lose weight, or just feel good? Whatever it is, write it on a sticky note or a poster and hang it on your wall. Also, find images that remind you of your goal and hang them on your wall. If it’s the first thing you see when you open your eyes every morning, you’ll be more motivated to get up and at ‘em.

5. Watch fitness YouTube channels

You’d be surprised how much watching someone else work out can inspire you to do the same. Before you head out to the gym watch a couple of YouTubers get their workout in. You can even get some new workout ideas from them.
