Invisible Brows

I have blond—like light, dirty blond hair, but my eyebrows are totally invisible! I want them to be darker--what can I do? Everyone is always plucking and shaping, but mine are so blond that they’re invisible! Can I dye them? HELP!
Eyebrows are such a pain to upkeep whether they’re dark or light, so you’re not alone, girl! If you’ve got super-light brows, you can def dye ‘em, but make sure you’re really sure first and that you have permission from your mom. Sometimes dyes can be darker than expected, so you’ve gotta be really careful.

Step One

You’ll only use a tiny bit of hair dye for your brows, and it will help to take a cotton swab and outline your eyebrows with Vaseline so the color won’t stain your face.

Step Two

To apply the dye, use an eyebrow brush or a toothbrush, and don’t drip! A little will go a long way—brush in the direction the hair grows.

Step Three

Make sure to keep the dye out of your eyes. Also keep an eye on the clock—when time’s up, use a wet cloth to remove the dye from your brows and skin.

If you’ve got cash saved, you can also go to a salon and they’ll do this all for you. But take a good look at your brows, and consider whether they’re really as invisible as you think. You may find that you don’t need to do anything to them after all.
