I trimmed down there and now it hurts to move!

I trimmed my hair down there, but when I walk around, it hurts really badly. Help me please!

Owwie! Cleaning yourself up down there shouldn’t be a painful experience, especially if you’re just trimming with a small pair of scissors instead of shaving or waxing. There are a couple of reasons why you might be feelin’ the pain after a quick trim.

You might have nicked yourself
Taking scissors to the hair around your private parts is awkward. You can’t see well and it’s hard to find a comfy angle for your hand without risking cutting yourself. Though I’m sure you were as careful as could be, the blades of your scissors might have nicked the skin down there. Explore with your fingers and see if you can find a bit of skin that’s tender to the touch. Rub a little bit of antibiotic ointment like Neosporin on it and let it be.

You might be a li’l bit sensitive
Have you ever wondered what the hair down there is for? It’s there to protect your delicate lady parts. And while trimming, shaving or waxing won’t hurt you, it does leave the sensitive skin uncovered. The friction from your panties and other clothes that you didn’t notice before is suddenly a heck of a lot more evident now you’ve trimmed than it used to be. You need to let your skin get used to the change by wearing soft, all-cotton panties and looser clothes. Ditch your tight, stiff jeans for skirts, soft leggings or yoga pants. Sooo much better!
