Summer is long gone and while everyone’s tans are fading, your freckles are basically stuck like glue. As a freckled girl who has over 250 freckles on just my fingers, (yes, one time I did get so bored I counted my freckles), I have to admit, sometimes it's hard to love my spots that make me unique. But the truth is, I've learned that having freckles is actually a blessing in disguise.

So if you’re a freckled girl like me who can (kind of) pass as a cheetah and need some words of encouragement, here are some ways to fall in love with your freckles, starting now. 

Find a favorite 

I know this may sound crazy, but having a favorite freckle makes it easier to love your freckles. Maybe you have one on your arm or one on your hand, find one that is in plain sight so that every time you look at it you’re reminded about how cool your freckles really are (my favorite is on my left thumb!).

Think about it

Freckles are as unique as snowflakes, no two people will have the same amount or the same type of freckles. Some people have a few big freckles, while some have hundreds of small ones, and all of them are beautiful. Take time to marvel at your uniqueness and try to find patterns in your freckles. I love to show off my freckles because I have two parallel lines on my leg and a half-circle on my shoulder. The more fun you have with your freckles, the more you’ll love them. 

*Bonus* points if you can create a fun picture by connecting the freckles!

Love them

Freckles or no freckles, you are beautiful. Freckles make you incredibly unique and there are tons of people out there who would love to have them. Did you know there are even tons of shops that sell fake freckles and make-up tutorials showing girls how to draw them on? Point is, each freckle makes you different, so find joy in it! Just remember the saying: a face without freckles is like a sky without stars.
