I dressed up in some really ugly clothes for my world culture project in geography class. My teacher told us that if we stayed in our country’s garb for the entire day, then we would get extra credit, which I really needed. Since other kids were dressed up, too, I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal.

 

In my next class, however, when I raised my hand to be counted for the geography class extra credit, my friend looked over at me, surprised. She said, “Oh! That’s a costume? I thought you looked cool in that outfit. After all, you wear clothes like that all the time.”

 

I can’t believe she though those clothes were a normal part of my wardrobe.
