I have an 8-inch scar on my leg!
Yep, as long as your scar is not scabbed over. After all, the scar is simply new skin that's grown in to repair the boo-boo. Even if the area's a little off-color or raised, you can treat it just the same.
But if you're worried about your scar standing out, there are ways to help it blend in. Protect it from the sun so it doesn't darken, and apply an over-the-counter ointment like Mederma or a silicone scar treatment pad, which will help it fade.
