How to let your fam know you're thankful for them

Thanksgiving is coming up, and it's not just about turkey and yams. After all, it is called Thanksgiving for a reason! And our families usually don't get enough thanks for what they do for us. Here are some simple ways you can let your fam know just how much they mean to you.

Offer to help out
You come home from school and your dad is cooking up a storm, meanwhile your lil sis is making a mess of her bedroom. As easy as it is to hideout and put some headphones on, helping your pop out should be a no-brainer. Ask him what he needs done, or go occupy your sister for a bit. By showing your dad that you're paying attention to his needs, you'll let him know just how grateful you are for him.

Do a little act of love
Waking up early to make your mom breakfast before she goes to work will make her day! Just take 15 minutes to scramble some eggs and pour a glass of juice for her, and let her know you're thankful for all the times she made you breakfast. If you don't have time to do this, make her a card. Waking up to handwritten thank-you note will surely brighten her day!

Plan a family night
Spending time with someone is one of the best ways to show your gratitude, so round up your fam for a night of fun! Whether it's game night, movie night, or even just making dinner together, family bonding is a great way to tell your family thanks. At least once a week, crack out that dusty monopoly board, bake some cookies, or catch the latest flick with your rents to let them know you love em.
