The GList: 10 things to do for your mom this Mother's Day

Your #1 fan. Best friend. Role model. Call her what you want, your mom, your stepmom or adored auntie is a v. special person in your life. Here are 10 ways to remind her of that this Mother's Day. (Psst! It's May 12.)

1. Let her sleep in. You don’t have to ask if she’ll pick you up from regionals on Saturday rightthissecond, promise. And when she’s finally done dozing...

2. Bring her brunch in bed. Avocado toast + fresh-squeezed orange juice = one very happy mama. (Bro, you’re on dish duty.)

3. Plan the perfect party. Tea for two, plz. Cue all the pretty pastels, bunches of blooms and queen-worthy cuppas.

4. Shower her with compliments. Fill a jar with all the reasons you love Mom written on tiny strips of colorful cardstock. She can pull one out whenever she needs some cheering up

5. Do all your chores...and all of hers. Whether it’s washing her car, cleaning the bathrooms or taking out the recycling, make sure Mom doesn’t have to lift a finger.

6. Get mom + daughter manis. Coordinate colors to be tip twins and, if you’re able to splurge, pair your polish with a pretty pedi, too.

7. Put pen to paper. Find a cute card—or DIY your own—then write a message to your mama inside.

8. Give her alone time. Your mom loves you, duh, but sometimes she just really wants some peace and quiet. Offer to babysit your little sis for the afternoon so she can snag some R&R.

9. Teach her something—then let her teach you. Show Mom how to use Insta Stories (finally!) in exchange for learning how to make Grandma’s secret spaghetti sauce.

10. Say “I love you” and give her a big hug. Simple as that.
