Are you the best bestie you can be? 5 ways to boost your friendships

Showing appreciation and dedicating time for your friends seems like a given. But going the extra mile to stay close with a friend helps to build longer-lasting relationships. And who doesn’t want that in a friend?! Here are some fun ideas to make your friendship even stronger

Girl’s Night

Plan a girl’s night with your besties. Dress up in your favorite threads and pick a restaurant you’ve never been to or a movie you’ve been dying to see. You’ll find that some time set aside will remind you of why you are so close.

Get Crafty

Make a special personalized gift. Find your favorite and funniest pictures of your friends and make a collage or scrapbook. Or write a letter telling your friend your favorite memories and things about her. This present is just as fun to make as it is to give!

Learn Something New

Try something you’ve always wanted to do with your friend. Look at your local community college or what clubs your school has and take those ballroom dance or guitar lessons you’ve always dreamed of. Having a friend with you will encourage you to practice and have fun with it.

Go Shopping—In Each Other’s Closet

Pick five pieces of clothing, whether it’s shirts, dresses, hats or scarves, and trade for five items of your friend’s. Mix and match and you’ll have a whole new wardrobe in no time.

Phone Date

Whether your bestie is across the street or across the country, sometimes you’re both so busy you can’t ever just chat. Pick a night to call her and talk about anything you want. Ask her about her favorite teachers or that new boy she’s been crushing on.
