Classic rom-com scenes we're still obsessing over

Is there anything better than a good ol' heartwarming rom-com? There's something about watching people fall in love that just never gets old—and V. Day is the perfect time for a swoon-worthy movie binge (we could srsly rewatch these movies over and over again). Just in time for Feb. 14, we're breaking down the most iconic scenes from our fave rom-coms.

The Notebook

The Notebook will never not be a classic. Truly, it makes us feel all the feels. We laugh, we cry and we fall in love with Noah and Allie's adorable love story over and over again. We just can't stop watching *that* scene where Noah confronts Allie about what she actually wants. He screams "What do you want?" in a long emotional speech. Fun fact: Most of that scene was actually an improv from Ryan Gosling (who plays Noah). Talk about amazing acting skills!

The Proposal

When Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) has to maintain her visa in the US, she asks her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her. After a whirlwind trip to Alaska, where the two try to prove they are *really* a couple, we reach the final scene of the movie, and we can't help but  *obsess* over Andrew's public declaration of love for Margaret. In one of the funniest and most surprising ways, these two end up together—and we just love a happy ending.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before

So this is a given...but this movie is monumental. There are so many adorable scenes between Peter and Lara Jean, but if we had to pick our favorite, we'd go with their first kiss on the lacrosse field. Peter asks Lara Jean if she's going to break his heart (and then cue fireworks). Despite Lara Jean's nervousness, the two share the cutest kiss—and tbh, they will always be the ultimate couple goals.

10 Things I Hate About You

Kat (Julia Stiles) is edgy and unamused by the idea of love and relationships. Patrick (Heath Ledger) sets out on a mission to sweep her off her feet. And in the famous scene, Patrick sings "Can't Take My Eyes off You" through a stolen microphone in their school's football stadium. Obviously, Kat can't resist his passion and willingness to get her attention. This scene has set v. high expectations for BFs and GFs everywhere.

The Last Song

We love this movie for many reasons, especially because Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were *actually* falling in love on set. This movie tugs at our heartstrings every time, but we adore the scene when Veronica and Will sing in the car together. At this point, you can just tell how head over heels they are for each other.

Grease

Grease is another all-time favorite. And the final scene? It's absolutely classic! Sandy and Danny find their way back to each other after she approaches him at the fair dressed in black leather (similar to his sense of style). After a fabulous dance routine, the two get in a car that flies into the sky! Now *that's* an 80's happily ever after!
