OFFICIAL RULES and REGULATIONS

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. Eligibility: The GL “13” contest is open only to legal residents of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States. Contest entrants must be female ages 8-19. Employees of Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation as well as the immediate family (parents, siblings and children) and household members of such employee are not eligible. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
2. Sponsor: Girls’ Life Acquisition Company, 4529 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214.
3. Timing: The contest begins September 15, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on October 18, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Girls' Life magazine’s computer is the official timekeeper of the contest.
4. How to enter: During the time period of the contest, girls can visit girlslife.com to enter to win.
5. Agreement to Contest: The grand prize winner will be chosen and notified on October 18th, 2008. If the winner of the contest is unable to agree with all terms of the rules and regulations, another winner will be chosen. Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation must be notified no later than October 20th, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time if the winner is not able to agree to these terms.
6.  GRAND PRIZE includes:
(1) Accommodations for two people for one nights at a New York City hotel; (2) Roundtrip coach class air transportation on an airline selected by 13 NY, LLC in its sole discretion for two people from a major continental US airport near the Grand Prize winner’s residence to LaGuardia, JFK or Newark Airport; (3) Two tickets to a performance of 13 during the month of November. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).  The Grand Prize must be redeemed by a parent or legal guardian. $The Grand Prize winner is responsible for all costs not specifically included in the basic Grand Prize package including, but not limited to, meals. transportation, gratuities and incidentals. The Grand Prize must be redeemed by December 1, 2008.
7. Notification:  13 NY, LLC is the sole determiner responsible for pronouncing, fulfilling, and certification of the Grand Prize offered in the Contest and arranging for notification and clearance of the winner before a formal announcement (which shall include, but is not limited to, sending the winner a Release Form) and communicating all pertinent details to the winner regarding the delivery of the prize. Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation is NOT responsible for making these arrangements.
8: Substitutions: All portions of the prize (show tickets, airfare, and hotel room) are non-transferable and no substitutions will be made unless Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation in its sole discretion determines otherwise. Winner is responsible for all taxes and incidental fees associated with prize receipt and/or use.
9. General Conditions: Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation’s control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation and it’s sole discretion.
9. Personal Information: Any information obtained by Girls’ Life Acquisition Corporation in regards to the contest is subject to Girlslife.com’s privacy policy.
10. Release: By accepting any prize, the applicable winner agrees to release and hold harmless Girls’ Life Aquistion Corporation and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
11. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries; (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation or guests of entrant in the contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable entries or for any technical problems, malfunctions of computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof. Sponsor and Administrator not responsible for any typographical/other error in entries, selection announcement or for any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, accessing or downloading information in connection with this promotion.
12. Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate Maryland State Court located in Baltimore, Maryland; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Maryland without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Maryland or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Maryland.
