my skin is SOOOOO fair, especially on my face! my WHOLE face is ALWAYS a pinkish-red, and its redder than my neck! it's so weird and embarassing! when i talk to my crush or barely giggle at a joke i turn BRIGHT red in an instant! it is so annoying! i've tried using powder and such, but they just clog my pores and make me get rashes! is there any way to fix this?

Hey girl, I know exactly how you feel. Unfortunately I have not found anything to get rid of that. You just have to try and not pay attention to it.

Ok, so today my crush came up to me(and we're really close) and said that one of his friends(technically my ex and we hate each other) told him i was lying. Then, he just goes off on me telling me to stop lying and stuff. I had no idea what i did! All our friends were around and my best friend defended me. He told my crush I didn't do anything and that i wasn't lying but he won't believe me. My ex is telling the lies and he's denying it whenever someone would ask him about it and he would blame it on me. So, i went into the other room and cried for the first time. My bff saw that and told my crush who said that i was probably faking it. My crush and i say i love you to each other all the time and i was going to ask him about today. But now, he's mad at me because he thinks i'm lying about everything

please help me. I don't know what to do.

Just talk to him about it and let him know that this issue is just an ex trying to start drama to get revenge on you. I'm sure he'll understand.

I'm so sorry. Friendships are hard, especially when one friend is mad and the other has no idea why! If she refuses to tell you what's upsetting her, see if any of your other friends can explain her strange behavior. Do you think you've been ignoring her unintentionally lately? Have you done anything to her that could be construed as mean? If not, do your best to be nice to her but give her time and space. Eventually, she'll come to you.

Hey girl,

Try buying some hair products that will help your hair regain its natural texture. You can buy moisturizing shampoos and conditioners or Recovery/Repair products. Also, if you go to the salon, they'll probably have a ton of tips and products for you to use. For now, stay away from the straightener. In the future if you decide to straighten your hair again, make sure you use heat protective products. Also, make sure to condition your hair every day, and pretty soon your curls will be as healthy and vibrant as ever!

MOD! My cheeks look constantly sunburned and are red, but I don't have hardly any pimples. So, what's wrong with my face and how do I reduce the redness?

Hey girl! Here are some tips for reducing the redness: you can use ice if there's any swelling involved. Use a good amount of sunscreen if you're out in the sun, but avoid being in the sun for an extended period of time. Dry your face using soft and gentle towels, but avoid rubbing (pat instead). Be sure to moisturize your face daily. Good luck!

Hey girl! Here are some tips for ya: Cleanse thoroughly and wash your face every night! Proper cleansing will help remove oil and dirt from your skin. Use a face scrub to exfoliate about every three weeks to get rid of old skin cells. Also use an alcohol-free toner to enhance the shrunken-pores appearance you're after! Good luck!

Hey girl! A lot of girls in your situation pencil in part of their eyebrows. Ask your mom or a beauty stylist (like at Sephora) what pencil shade you should use. This will give the appearance of a fuller eyebrow!

I would just sit her down and try to talk to her about how important this is to you. Maybe she will let you wear it if she knows how much you want it. Maybe she would even help you with it.

Help! Who ever!
I got a new best friend this year and we had so much in common, we were fast friends. The only thing was she had a best friend from last yesr in the class. We all liked eachother and became friends. Now I'm worried because she's been ignoring me and acts like she hates me (even though she doesn't I HOPE). The only BIG *quote on big* is when she's ignoring me she hangs out with her old friend without me, and she even say she is sick of her old bff well no longer the extra f. Plus we were supposed to do masks together in art, but she decides when I'm absent to do old friend. Then she breaks it to me when i come back into school still feeling terrible (I was sick). Not only that, I asked her if she wanted to be something with me for Halloween. I knew it was early but I needed to know. 1) Nope, there aren't any magical exercises - you've got what you've got! You could still be growing, but I AM going to tell you to be happy with what you've got, because we're all different and we all can make it work. Remember you're beautiful and love your bod!

2) I've removed part of your post because, sometimes, people feel a little offended when they read sex-related things. Nothing against you! But if you have questions about sex, talk to someone you trust. This doesn't have to be a parent (I know, it might feel awkward!), but talk to an older cousin, a school nurse, your doctor, or your health teacher. It's totally normal to be curious! But it's better to find out from a REAL person than to go online to learn about it. Substitute those websites for other things - an episode of your fave TV show, a yummy snack, a jog around the block - and slowly they won't be as important to you anymore.

MOD MOD MOD! So, I have this MAJOR problem. There's this guy(let's call him Michael) and he's been my best friend for 3 years now. He's one of the most popular guy in our school and every girl wants his attention. But he only cares about me and I'm his only girl best friend. He says really sweet stuff to me like "I love you" and "You're the only one I truly love". Michael knows I love him and all of my friends and his friends are saying that he loves me too. Well, there's another guy(Matt) and I used to love him...and I think I still do. My best friend said that Matt loves me too! I really care about Matt but I just met him this year and things have been rough between us. So now,I can't take it anymore and I have to choose: Michael, the sweet loving guy that admits freely that he loves me( I don't know if he means love as a friend or love "love") or Matt, the guy that has been playing with my emotions and yet shows signs that he does want me and that he cares too? PLEASE HELP

i'm 13, in the 7th grade, but less than 5 feet tall. everyone is going through growth spurts except me. my doctor says im probably not growing any more- maybe make it to 5 feet- because i've had my period. what am i supposed to do? i'll be stuck feet below everyone, not fitting right into clothes, and will boys like me? and doesn't it effect sports? i feel like my height is limiting my life by so much, and it really "brings me down"... and i'm not meaning height, i mean feelings. i need some positive inspirations of being short... any ideas? i need all the help i can get. :/

There are sooo amny girls who are short! My best friend is short, and honestly if she were any taller i would hate it. Shes so cute and she really works her height. Also look at the pluses, basically every guy will be taller than you (tall girls can have problems fining guys tall enough). Also short girls are soo cute. Their height is just perfect for them. Short girls get noticed! Guys will notice your height and it will become a fun trait of your guys notice dont worry. Youre unique xoxo kerra

Hey girl, what sort of things do you guys have in common? Thats always a good place to start, but if you're still stumped try playing The Favorites Game. Take turns asking each other what your favorite things are (movies, band, color etc.) Get creative! It might sound silly, but its a great way to find out things about each other, and is definitly good for some laughs.

hey, i have a couple question.PLEASE ANSWER.i think my old school crushed my self confidence. I used to be very outgoing and fun and loved life,i could make frie3nds with a snap and everyone liked me. but then in the middle of my 6th grade year, everyone turned very (please excuse me) ghetto. they got in fights with me and i hated it. I think thats when it started. when i moved, i was very shy and didnt make very many friends because of my past experiences. I didnt talk as much and kept my emotions either sullen or behind a mask. now i have friends that i probably wont keep. im not close with any of them! and i started groups like theatre, choir, tennis. im making some improvement but its the middle of the year now... i want some help whenever im out of school im myself, but when i get to school i feel very embarrassed and nervous. i cant be myself or talk like myself. i hate it! its like im in a little box where i think im ugly, not good enough or just will be judged harshly!!its a habit now and everyone knows me as quiet and innocent and i always look down. and my sisters very outgoing and a little too flashy. to make it worse, shes my twin. okay so im 13 and like this guy thats 15. we used to talk everyday for a long time.. and all of a sudden we havent talked in over a week. one of the reasons i wanted to be friends with him was cuz i didnt think he had many friends and he seemed sweet but not too hard to impress. now all of a sudden a bunch of girls like him and hes all popular. in 2 weeks i have to go on a trip with a bunch of ppl (him too) but now i havent talked to/seen him in a long time. we used to always say how we missed each other and loved each other.. then it all vanished.. what should i do? thx!

Talk to him. See what's up. Ask him how he's been doing and tell him you miss him. Start talking to him again!

Hey MOD.
Okay, so I have this bf whom I've been going out with for a year and a half. My family and I have known him for like forever and so I kno he's a great guy. The only problem is the he lives in California and I live in Georgia. He has been such a a great bf and so supportive. I trust him and love him and I kno that boys lke him are very hard to find. I used to be so so so positive that I love him, but lately I've been so distant towards him and I have no idea why. I think it may be 'cause I haven't seen him for over 6 months and it's been very painful. I don't want to break-up because I need him and he's the only person that I can talk to and trust. Sure I can tlk to my friends but they don't understand me as much as he does. I'm gonna go to California in a few weeks so should I just see if it's the time not spent together or wat should I do? Help plz.
