I just started high school,and my friends keep telling me I am awkward. I try to talk to boys but all i can say is hi and then they say hi back but i dont know what to say after that. i try and pretend like i am speaking to my friends but i am not very good at starting a convo so i don't know what to say after i say hi. please help me!! do i ask them about what sports they are doing or something!! AAHHH!! For example the other day we were partnered up with someone in our class to talk about this worksheet thing. I was partnered up with one of the nice popular guys, after we finished discussing the worksheet, there was this awkward long pause and then after a few minutes, i was like "do you play soccer?" ugh...please help thanks
