There's this guy that goes to my school named Sam,and I REALLY like him. We're both in this club called Odyessey of the Mind,where you're given a problem and you have to comebup with a creative solution. I told my friends that I like him,and they,bieng the insane people they are,kept annoying him and telling him to ask me out. After I realized what they were doing I apologized to him and he said "No it's okay,I like you too. I just wanna get to know you better before I ask you out. A long while passed and he never did. I texted him and asked him if he still liked me. He said "We should wait to go out after the Odyessey competition." I agreed but I thought about it and I remembered the competition is in MARCH. MARCH. I know it sounds desperate but I really want to go out with him now. How do I tell him that????

Hey macolive! It's okay, I have the same problem. I don't know what to say, and it is really awkward. Maybe you can talk about something funny or interesting that happened during the weekend or something. For example, you can say "Oh yeah, you will never guess what happened yesterday. Ok, so.....(say your story)" and you can start the conversation from there. Or maybe you saw something in the hallways that you would share. If you really have nothing to say, see if anyone else is not doing anything in the classroom that is close to you, and say hi. They will probably say something to not make it awkward. I'm sorry no one is responding, and you might not find me advice helpful, but try it out!

When I'm in school lots of my friends that are guys occasionly make a sexual comment, try to grab me or sexual look at me then start laughing and saying they were joking. But when I try to tell them to stop they spread rumors about me! So I just laugh it off and go on. When I ask my friends they call me LUCKY!!!! Am I being sexually harassed or just teased? Please reply! I started high school this year, and there is this boy that sits a seat next to me in math. He is in my last year science class, and we sat next to each other on one long table because our last name is close. We talk a little and we sometimes do classwork together last year in science. Hey emily!!!!!!!!!!, as women we will shave our whole lives. We have our legs, underarms, private parts, and eyebrows to tend to. Some girls even remove hair from their face and arms. So I don't think shaving your thighs will cause anymore problems for you. I shave mine and it isn't a hassle. Just decide what YOU would feel most comfortable doing girly. Hope this helps! I don't know if I should shave my thighs. My mom has told me my entire life not to do it and that I will regret it if I do it. However, I am extremely self-conscious of my thighs (so much that I don't wear shorts and I isolate myself from others). I want to SO BADLY that I am thinking of doing it but... I've recently started dating this guy. He's a bad boy type and is a player. But I really like him, and I know he likes me too. Even though he's a great guy, he's really touchy. All the girls that he has ever dated have had their butts grabbed and they've probably french kissed. I know for sure that they've made out(We're too young for that stuff). So I like this guy at school but I never see him during school. I only ever see him at practice. But practice is ending in less that a week and I haven’t talked to him that much. Since you're not technically allowed to date yet, use this time as a chance to get to know him better as a person and to figure out your own feelings for him! Over time and by talking/hanging out more, you'll be able to grow closer to him and decide if you two would really be a good "match" in a dating situation. It's totally ok if you decide you'd rather just be friends! If you do, tell him that - just say you both make amazing friends so you'd love to stay friends, but that you don't think you're ready for a relationship just yet. (It's a little white lie - that you might be ready for a relationship but just not with him - but that's ok because it helps avoid really hurting him.) You're being honest and you're not wasting his time, so he can move on and find a girl who does like him and want to be his GF. You're doing the best thing for both of you!

It's so weird when this happens - you leave school in June and they're just annoying boys, then you come back in the fall and they're flirty guys! It's odd, but it makes you realize how fast we grow sometimes when we're going through puberty. I think these guys all just got older and realized that you are attractive, smart, funny....and oh yeah, a GIRL. They're realizing that they don't need to be grossed out by girls anymore, that's all Enjoy the attention if you want! If not and it's annoying you, don't feel awkward telling them you aren't interested and just want to be friends. It's your call!

As for opening them quietly, try this trick: get the tampon/pad ready while you're in the stall, then flush the toilet. Open the wrapper (and if it's a pad, peel off the sticky strip) quickly while the toilet is making all its noise. Then, once it's quiet again, you'll be all ready to sit down and take care of business!

Ouch - that's not a fun discovery to have But really the best thing is to spend time on it with someone who can really help you. I know you're embarrassed about it, but try to change your habits and sing out loud, trying to hit the same notes as the people around you. Are there any people in your church choir you trust? It'll intimidate you, but overcoming your fears and working with someone to sing the proper way is the only way to improve! You can ask them questions and for some help, or take the plunge and go for lessons. Voice coaches have heard it all and, if it's a passion of yours, it's worth it to start at the bottom and work your way up!! <3

So back in december this cute guy friend of mine asked me out while I was in a santa costume! We dated for 3 weeks when he said that he had to break up with me cause his mom said he doesnt have time for a relationship and i was broken. A week later i found out that he was skiing with my friend every weekend and there was something going on between them. They never went out but everybody knew they liked eachother. 2 weeks later he told her he didnt feel that way about her and he liked someone else. i still really really like him because hes so nice to me and he even said to my other friend that he likes that he can be true around me. i dont want him to know i never stopped liking him because it would be awkward. im not sure what to think or do.

Okay, so me and my BF of five months just broke up, i followed him home from school (which i have done many times before) he got in my car, we talked for two minutes and he broke up with me out of the blue. We had never had a single issue, a single argument and everything was perfect, just the day before we held hands walking out of the school! okay, I need some MAJOR advice. there was this guy that most definitely into me, for like, two years, and I started to warm up to him just recently. My guy best friend has changed A LOT over the past months and we're not even close anymore. It's because he hangs out with this other guy who talks badly about people behind their backs and now, he's doing it too. I guess he has always done it but this time, it's worse because he talks badly about me! And he's been so rude! Everyone else from the other cliques don't like him because they think he's annoying but I've always stuck up for him. But when the other guys talk about me, he just laughs and add more to it. I'm sick of it! And today at lunch, he called me FAKE--even when he talks about people behind their backs and act all nice to them to their face. He's starting to make me become very depressed. Also, another one of my friend WORSHIPS him! He defends him on stuff that's his fault and yells at me for it. Please don't tell me to confront them because they will all gang up on me. I need help asap. I have been absent from school a couple times already and its only november. I am in High School, and i am a freshman and being absent really counts. My mom is a teacher so she is very disappointed when i stay home. Like today, i sprained my back at cheerleading and it really hurts so i stayed home. sometimes i read a book that has a big impact on the way i think. such as The Red Tent or Just Listen. i recomend you read them. books such as these are good thinking, writing, and talking topics. when i read book like those i feel smart, and like i lived their life. it's my perfect world. the world no one can penetrate. it feels so real to me. when i read books just like those i think that is how life really is. other books sound so fake. this is nothing agains other girls or any writers.

I don't know anymore. My mom has been sick for at least 4 years. Not deathly sick, but sick enough so she is always tired, she can't get up sometimes, and she even lost her hair. My parents won't tell me what she has, I always thought it was cancer, but then I thought that was too bad and I didn't want to think that. I always told myself it wan't cancer. But my little 7 year old cousin came over and when I asked her if she wanted to sleep over, and she said no, she doesn't want to disturb my mom because she has cancer. My heart nearly stopped. I laughed and said, she doesn't have cancer. And my cousin said, oh that is what my parents said. I can't believe I had to find out from a 7 year old! I don't know what to do anymore.
