Must Watch: Turn The Beat Around
Disco is definitely back! So strap on your platforms, shimmy into some sparkles and prepare to get up and dance tonight to MTV’s new original movie Turn The Beat Around, premiering at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
This movie centers around Zoe, a 21-year-old aspiring dancer living in L.A. She’s stuck at a dead-end job, and trying to grab any dance audition she can get. While that doesn’t sound like much fun, Zoe’s got a totally cute boyfriend, Chris, who is a dancer as well. Making things definitely more enjoyable.

Zoe and Chris audition for Malika, a well-known choreographer in L.A. Unknowingly to Zoe, Chris catches the eye of Malika, which you know spells trouble with a capital T.
But things get even more interesting when nightclub owner Michael comes along (who is also completely gorgeous), and Zoe convinces him that he should open a new kind of nightclub—one that focuses on disco.
Can Zoe keep her personal life together while she pursues her dreams as a dancer? Will Malika steal Chris away? And what about Michael?
This movie has a great crop of talent, too. Many of the characters were on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, as well as the hit show 90210. The choreography and music in this flick is so fast and exciting that you’ll definitely want to get up and dance while watching—trust us, we did when we caught it.
