Victoria Justice is Victorious

Saturday, March 27, Nickelodeon will premiere its newest, long awaited show, Victorious—a comedy featuring rising teen star Victoria Justice.
The series follows Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) as she transitions from your run-of-the-mill, average teenage girl to a top student at Hollywood Arts—an elite performing arts high school.
We caught the pilot episode before it aired and, to be honest, we think it’s going to be a massive crowd-pleaser. Are you a diehard Hannah Montana fan? Do you miss the days of Zac and Vanessa and the entire High School Musical gang? Well, Victorious is the perfect combination of the two. It’s both wildly hilarious and filled with infectious song and dance scenes. Sounds pretty perfect, right?
But Victoria Justice isn’t the only super talented gal in this new soon-to-be hit. The show is filled with an all-star cast. Danielle Monet plays Trina, Tori’s diva older sister, who has an upbeat, bouncy personality and a hilarious lack of vocal talent. She plans to sing in the school-wide showcase with Andre (Leon Thomas), a crazy talented pianist who’ll eventually befriend her sister, Tori.
And then there’s Cat, played by Ariana Grande, the strange girl with the bright red hair and wild personality. Jade (Elizabeth Gillies) and Beck (Avan Jogia) are the school’s it-couple. At first, they seem like an awkward mismatch, mainly because Jade is your typical mean girl and Beck is the nice, talented guy who falls for her act. But we predict some drama between the two (involving Victoria, of course) in the near future.
The pilot is full of twists, turns and unexpected endings (like when Tori’s older sister becomes too ill to perform in the school’s showcase, so Tori’s the last-minute replacement).
Be sure to watch the Victorious premiere Saturday at 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT) to see if Victoria’s performance is a flop or if she succeeds in dazzling the crowd!
Do you think Victorious will be the next Hannah Montana? Blog about it, babes.
