The Healthiest Moms Day--EVER!

With Mother’s Day zooming up fast, we’re extra-energized to pay tribute to mom. Here are our fave ideas for some quality chill-time with mama…with a healthy twist, of course.
 
Pedal Pusher
When was the last time you went on a fun bike ride as a family? It might sound a little silly, but rounding up mom and your sibs for a ride around the lake or park is a great way to grab some bonding and a workout at the same time. Not into cycling? Try to plan a rollerblading, jogging or hiking trip instead. Getting some fresh air together is bound to be tonsa fun.
 
Class Act
Have you always wanted to try hip-hop dance? Wonder what all the fuss is about Bikram yoga? Wanna learn to cook up the healthiest, tastiest meals? Join a class together! Whether it’s a course at the gym or a local community college, this can be a sweet chance to achieve a goal with mom by your side. If you are both super-strapped for time, see if you can drop into a class for one session or teach yourselves a new recipe out of a healthy cookbook.
 
Park it at a Picnic
A Mom’s Day brunch is classic, but we love the idea of a nutritious picnic to celebrate how sweet your mama is. Make a fruit salad and yummy sandwiches (like turkey with avocado and sprouts on whole wheat) and tote along plenty of water or sun tea. Set up a blanket and fresh-cut flowers and say “thanks” to the lady in your life.
