The Fab Five: Hair Goodies You Need to Make Your Locks Look Amazing

Got outta control strands? Not anymore. Whether you’re fighting humidity-induced frizz or just NEED to get those locks off your face, we’ve got the beauty booty ya need for sizzlin’ summertime hair. Keep reading for our fave tress-tamers.

Leave-in Conditioner
Summer is the time when your hair is zapped of moisture. Between the pool, the beach, and the sun your hair will get fried if you don’t add some moisture. A leave-in conditioner is a great way to hydrate that hair. Apply it to your hair after a shower, and comb it through. We heart how this one is mini—perf for popping into your suitcase.

Wide-tooth Comb
Once the warm weather strikes, we stock up on these puppies. Whether you’re combing your hair after you get out of the pool or detangling after a shower, ya gotta use a wide-tooth comb. Using a brush on wet hair causes damage and rips out hairs. Be gentle, girl.

Hair SPF
Sunscreen isn’t just for your skin. Protect that hair from the dreadful rays, too. Look for a product that will block out the sun and leave your hair stylin’. Ah, multi-tasking.

A Frizz Fighter
With the heat, humidity, chlorine and salt, summer is definitely the season for frizzy hair to be a problem. Keep hair hydrated by conditioning tons and then applying a dab of frizz serum to damp locks. Avoid blow-dry…it’ll just take away all the moisture ya added. Smooth strands in seconds.

Teeny Headbands
Keep those bangs off your face and the flyaways pinned back. We love these for sports practice during the school  year but, come summer, they become clutch on the daily. We love them paired with a super-high bun. How cool.
