My camp crush has a GF
Recently I went to a grade 6 camp with a bunch of other schools. I met a lot of new people and one really cute, sweet and funny guy. The problem is well, he has a girlfriend. When we were sitting at a dinner table he told us he regretted dating a new girl the first day of camp. Plus he’s always staring and smiling at me and my friends! What am I supposed to think now?! Please help!
Don’t get frustrated girl…boys can be SO complicated. I’m glad you were able to meet so many new people at camp—especially a cute guy! Sadly, you can’t control what your guy is thinking, so until he’s single, he is OFF LIMITS!
Just because you can’t date, doesn’t mean you can’t be friends! Although it’s probably frustrating to have to sit back and watch your crush with his GF, you’re going to have to respect his decision to be with her. But, on the bright side, I’m sure there are plenty of other cute guys at camp!
Put yourself in his girlfriend’s shoes, you wouldn’t want your boyfriend to be with another girl behind your back! But, if things get rocky with his GF, he’s obviously going to turn to his girl FRIEND, to see what she thinks of the situation—and that’s where you come in. Giving him advice and insight into the world of girls is just what he needs! But no sabotaging allowed.
Whether he ends up staying with his GF or breaking up, either way you’ll be his girl! He will appreciate you as a friend, because you’ll give him great advice. Sure, it might kill you watching him with his girlfriend—but just remember, he still sees you as someone who is important in his life. Don’t let this one guy ruin your chances at having fun and make sure you enjoy everything that camp has to offer!
