Shooting Star

A twinkle in the sky,
The perfect lullaby,
Tells tales of happy endings,
Gives the gift of naive lendings.

Does it really matter,
Who deserves this so-called ever after?
Or does it all come from admiring from afar,
This so-called shooting star.

Working all day,
People pay the bills they have to pay,
Sitting here in the grass,
Can i make my dream come true at last.

Fairytales and happy endings don't come true from song,
Or even from those stories of which they seem to belong,
Do all you can, live as you may,
If you do, I can promise you, that shooting star will belong to you someday.
