Make Your Hair Look Amazing by the First Day

Yes! We’ve got teeny, tiny tricks to ensure you’ll have gorgeous locks by the time school starts.
Whether you need to repair your hair after a summer of sun ‘n’ swimming or need change up your look immediately, we’ve got ways to make those strands shine in just a couple weeks.

Get a Trim
Even if you’re not going for a crazy new coif this year, getting a trim is mandatory. You’ll save your hair from split ends, which can work their way up your locks and damage your amazing length.

Save moolah at the salon by skipping the blow-dry and seeing a younger stylist. If you’re not getting a whole shape, she’ll be able to lop off an inch or two and will likely have more affordable rates.

Stock Up on Cute Hair Doodads
By the time summer ends, your elastics are inevitably stretched out and last year’s accessories are feelin’ a li’l blah. Hit Target or Claire’s to buy some new, colorful hair ties and a couple cute headbands. You’ll appreciate them when you’re having an “OMG what will I do with this mop?” day.

Practice a Couple Speedy ’Dos
Speaking of wrangling your mane, now’s the time to practice some new hairstyles for fall. Whether you wanna finally perfect that side braid or learn how to get effortless waves, try some new styles out ASAP. Practice them a couple times and your mane will have a makeover by September.

Clarify or Deep Condition
Tame that texture! If you’ve got oily tresses, invest a couple bucks in a clarifying shampoo to bust that grease.

Got parched locks? Nab a deep conditioner from the drugstore and use it once a week from now ’til the start of school. You’ll have super-soft strands by the first day.
