And Then the World

I'm on a journey to find
The person inside of me.
For I'm having a hard time understanding
What I'm supposed to be.

Who knew it would be this hard?
Sometimes I feel like giving in.
But something inside tells me
I need to think of where to begin.

But how to start?
I can't answer that.
I'm simply nobody here,
And that is sadly a fact.

What is this place
That I call home?
I've been here forever,
I just want to roam.

Let me break out.
I need to run free.
Expand my horizons.
There's more I can see.

A starting point to it all.
My old life, but swirled.
I'll begin with this place,
And then take the world.
