Meet Sacha Edwards
You seem like a super confident chica. Any tricks you’d give other girls out there to boost their own self-esteem?
Have a good relationship
with your family because nobody loves you more than them. It’s my parents who
always remind me of what I'm capable of. They know exactly what to say to
always keep me motivated and believing in myself.
What is the song featured on N.B.T., “Smile,” about?
[It’s] about a girl who suddenly
finds herself crushing on a boy that is so not her typical type, and is
surprised by how much she likes him. Now, she just has to convince her parents
to feel the same way.
What is the biggest thing you hope listeners take away from your music?
I want everyone, including moms and dads, to walk away
feeling good and wanting more. Having a connection to the listeners’ hearts
would be magic. And then I’d like them to think “Wow, that girl can sing!”
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other teens looking to break into the
music industry?
Never give up on your dreams—never! Stay focused, be willing to give 200 percent and
surround yourself with family and friends who believe in you.
If you win N.B.T., what’s
the first thing you’ll do?
Jump up and down and scream like a
crazy person. Then, I would try to talk my parents into having a really big
celebration party.
