You and Her

Hey girls! Here's an original poem from GL reader Laura D. What do ya think?
"You and Her"

The dark depths of her mind,

Hold a single glow of light,

Only one thing is there,

To try to break the darkness of night.

You are her light, her hero, her hope,

The magical thing that holds her and makes her great,

Everyone should know, and pray,

That her love for you does not abate.

You are the thing that keeps her going,

I hope this isn't just a game,

Because you, without knowing,

Draw her closer, like moths to a flame.

You are the thing that keeps her whole,

The one who is her guy,

I hope you and her are like Romeo and Juliet,

Except for the part where they die.

She knows enough of lies and deceit,

We only hope you are true,

And that you are a lover, not a liar,

And give her a bouquet of roses, not a life to rue.

Because you are her glow of light,

Her single burning sun,

Try and remember this,

When you think that you and her are done.
