Just like you, we’ve been keeping up with this season of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing! For almost three months, we’ve watched five talented acts compete against one another, having America decide which deserves the honor the most.

 

And the winner is…Kicking Daisies! Hailing from Connecticut, these four teens will travel to Florida to perform with Allstar Weekend Saturday, Dec. 11. Caitlin (drums and songwriter), Ben (guitar), Duran (guitar and vocals), and Carly (bass and vocals) will also be featured on Radio Disney Jams 13. Cool, right?

 

We got a chance to catch up with the talented teens just after their win was announced. Check out what they had to say…

 

GL: What are you looking forward to most about your trip to Florida?

Kicking Daisies: Duran lived in Florida for 10 years before moving to Connecticut to be part of Kicking Daisies. We’re looking forward to meeting some people in Duran’s family who haven't had the chance to hop on a plane to Connecticut yet.

 

GL: Fashion wise, what do you see yourself wearing to open for Allstar Weekend?

Ben: I don't even know. I'm probably going to try to find some new clothes for the show.

 

Carly: That will probably take me hours to figure out. It'll depend on what mood I'm in that morning before the show, but I'll probably wear either a dress or a skirt.

 

Caitlin: I'm probably going to wear my black skinny jeans with a fashionable T-shirt and, most importantly, my pink and black custom Italian Fulmine Drumming shoes!

 

Duran: Chances are, I'm going to wear whatever Carly tells me to wear. She's like my personal stylist.

 

GL: Have you been recognized around town, just from being a part of N.B.T.?

Kicking Daisies: Yeah, it’s really funny. We’ve noticed that a lot of kids who we didn’t know or who we’ve never really talked to have been asking us about N.B.T.

 

GL: Who was the first person you told about winning?

Kicking Daisies: Everyone was there! All of our parents, our friends and the amazing team behind us! We had a show that night in Connecticut, so we were all crammed in the dressing room listening to that life-changing phone call from Ernie D. Then, we got to tell our friends who weren't there and they were so excited for us.
