We Tried It: Power yoga in the living room


I love the boost I get from an intense yoga session, but shelling out $10-15 a class isn't exactly ideal. That’s why I’m hooked on Kristin McGee’s Power Yoga DVD.

Kristin’s DVD gives you more of a workout than many ho-hum yoga DVDs. Her instructions are easy to follow, which is fab if you’re new to the art. But if you’re an old pro, you’ll find flowing through the poses to be a fun challenge. The DVD also gives you a lot of versatility—there’s a short routine if you only have a few minutes to be on the mat. Plus, Kristin’s sweet demeanor makes her easy follow and so not intimidating.

The benefits of yoga are nearly endless—from less stress to more flexibility and the best part is you don’t have to practice constantly to see the results. What can I say? I’m on the path to becoming a total guru.
