Reflection - An original poem

Hey babes! Here’s an original poem written by GL reader Renee. Tell us what you think in the comments.

Reflection

She stares in the mirror
Wondering who she sees
Thinking, "That girl? Please.
There's no way that's me."

The glint in her eye is gone,
Her smile is faded,
And her tear stained cheeks
Aren't properly shaded

This girl is mean,
She gossips and lies
Her promises mean nothing,
and this is the cause of many goodbyes

She’s like a Barbie doll,
this girl who's so plastic
Her face is drawn on,
And it looks fantastic

But behind all that makeup,
You can tell she’s faking
She might look amazing,
But inside she's breaking

And although she doesn't want to admit it,
She knows she can't run
That girl in the mirror
Is who she's become
