Mom's making me pay to replace my phone!

I really wanted a cell phone, and I got one last month. Yesterday, I put a bottle of Snapple in my purse, and I must not have put the top on right because it spilled all over the place. I'm really mad because my parents are making me pay for a new phone even though it was an accident.

Dear Cell Phone Saga,

I don't blame you for being mad--but I don't blame them for not rushing out to replace your cell. Maybe you can ask for a little money for an early Christmas or Hanukkah present. I've heard from other girls who accidentally spilled water on laptops (and even final papers and school projects along with it). Be glad that this lesson about liquids and electronics is one you need to learn only once, and start saving.
