Stereotype - An original poem

Hey girlies! Here’s an original poem written by a GL reader just like you. We totally heart it, but we wanna know what you think. Leave your critiques in the comments please.

“Stereotype”

Goth, emo, jock, nerd
If I am part of one am I not following a herd?
If I break away, everyone will look
But what if I stay; I’m caught on a hook.
Cliques all around me, do I take part?
Or be true to myself like a beautiful piece of art.
Popular, wannabe, loser, freak
Why can’t I find the words to speak?
It seems as if we build up glass walls
To us they are stone, but can the world make them fall?
I wish we could realize we all could be friends
But with all these stereotypes the world will never make amends.
