Deck your walls with 4 fab design ideas

Mom and Dad won’t budge when it comes to new furniture, but have given you free rein to hit refresh on your walls? Rock ‘em out in true room-redo diva style with our four best ideas of the summer! We’re thinking awesome designs, bold colors and a 100-percent you look.

Enhance your walls with decals.

Painting your whole room can be a big investment in terms of time, money, and commitment. Even wallpaper can take a lotta work to get it done right. That’s why wall decals are so amazing. They add a splash of style to your walls, but don’t require a professional. Plus, they are removable and reusable so you can change your mind and switch ‘em up anytime.

Use chalkboard paint.

You’ll definitely need parental permission with this one, but if you get the green light, the results can be fantastic. Pick a section of your room. It could be a whole wall, but a horizontal two-foot strip or a panel of your door works as well. Coat it with this black chalkboard paint. Once it’s dry, you and your friends can draw on it with chalk, erase and repeat. How cool is that?

Switch up your pictures.

Almost everyone has picture frames in their room, but you know how it goes – sometimes the same pics stay in them for a looong time. Go on your computer, find some new ones you like and print ‘em out. Looking for a new way to display your pics? We love mirror tiles. They make swapping out your photos super easy. You can hang ‘em on your wall, just like a regular frame. When you’re ready for a new pic, just pull off the old photo, grab some tape or sticky tack and put up the new one!

Make a collage.

Take some old magazines you’re OK parting with, and cut out words and pics that inspire you (or are just so darn cute!). Arrange and glue them on a big poster board, or on smaller pieces of cardstock paper to display in different places around the room. You can even make this your first fun event of summer. Grab your girls and have an afternoon of making them together.

What décor are you rocking on your walls, babes?
