“Change”

You're just a little girl
with little curls.
You tell me how you wish
to be a dancer or a princess.
You want your own house and car
but right now you can't go far.
You want to be big instead of little
but things won't always be so simple.
I can tell you now that every girl wishes
they could still play dress-up and be a princess.
