GIRL TALK: Asking Mom About Shaving

shave2.jpg

Many moms don't like to face questions about shaving, because it means their little girls are growing up. The best way to convince your mom to let you shave is the show and tell method. I know for a fact it works, because I tried it out on my own mom many years ago! So, I've written down a step by step process for asking mom to let you shave. Goodluck and I hope this helps you out!

Much Love,

The Show and Tell Method:

1. Tell your mom how you're feeling. Let her know that you're embarrassed because the hair on your legs is getting out of control. It might even be making you uncomfortable being around people or your friends. Your mom has been there and she should understand.

2. Give her examples of why you're feeling this way. Tell her that in gym class you are embarrassed all the time because you have to wear shorts and you would feel much more comfortable and enjoy yourself more if you could shave your legs. If other girls are mean and making fun of you, let her know. She will sympathize with you!

3. If your mom still needs a little convincing, show her! You may even be too embarrassed to do that in front of your own mom...but it will be worth it in the long run. Don't worry though, your mom won't run away screaming in fright, but seeing your legs face to face will help her to understand how important it is for you to lather them up and shave the hair off!

4. If you mom still doesn't want you to shave after personally seeing you legs, it may not be time yet. Your worries may just be from your own insecurities. Wait a little while and go back and repeate the show and tell method.
