I understand completely how you feel. I have a twin sister! Since we're the same age and have most of the same interests, there is always competition. Even with looks! I've had my sister tell me she is the prettier twin, and it's really hurt my feelings. But you have to remember that looks don't matter, and there are way more important things than looks. You're probably better than her at some other wonderful hobby or subject that she wishes she were good at. Look at your strengths and what you're good at, not the way you look.

I've always been secretly jealous of my older sister. On the prettiness scale she'd be an A+ and I would only be a B or if lucky a B+. However, I recently figured out that I have other strengths that she doesn't have. For example, everyone has always told me that I am way more attractive than my sister and a lot of people have asked if I was a model because I am 5"10, pretty slim, and only 13. My sister RARELY gets a compliment like that because she is pretty normal in height. So be glad because you DO have something better than your sis :D

She said that I was least likely to get invited because I had changed since the beginning of the year! She said that I was quiet, and now I'm different! I don't know if this is true!!! I don't know if I should go back to being quiet. But if I did this, I might lose my friends I made (they're really nice-not popular. They stood up for me). I doubt it, but maybe. whenever i do something well, my older sister has to do better. when i was better at horsebacking riding than her, she got all upset and quit. when i taught myself a complicated song on the piano, she came and was trying to do an even harder one.
also, all the people in my grade love her. (im in 7th, shes in 9th) last year, when we were in the same school, all people ever talked to me about was her. some people in my classes only knew me aas "allies sister". it gotten a little better now that shes in high school, but she still tries to outdo me at everything. i want to have my own thing that im good at, but whenever i do ssomething she just has to do better at it. what should i do?

Hey Girl, don't worry about it I'm sure shes not doing it on purpose. I know exactly how you feel bc my older sister did the same sort of stuff, not on purpose but she really was just better at everything than me. Then I realized no duh! shes older than me has more experience and has had more time to practice even if she hasn't ever really done it she still has more experience. I really don't wanna be this girls friend anymore. She treats me like I'm an idiot b/c she is 2 mnths older than me and she acts like she's 2. 3 days ago, when I invited her over, her mom answered the door. She said, "Go out and play with your friend." Then she said, "She'll be out in a minute." 10 minutes later, she didn't show up. So I went over there and my so called "friend" answered the door. the problem is that i have a senior best guy friend and other friends in band and they are trying to get me to join band and he is going to be the band assistant so i would get to see him more and i would play percussion. the bad thing is that i wouldn't have time to practice at home b/c of schools and sports and choir. My friend told the band teacher i was thinking about joining and now i think she will be on case about joining. I really want to join to band to see him and my other friends more than 5 minutes a day but i think that might be the only reason i want to join and i turned in my schedule for next year and my mom checked like 12 classes, so i would have to cut some classes. I don't know what to do. Can you help me in any way? plez i have no clue i REALLY want to spend time w/ them.

When the time comes, I'm sure you will be fine. Don't freak out because this happens to everyone so I don't think they will think anything about it, but I would suggest just having your mom sign it so you don't have to talk about it with your dad and you will be fine. Deep breaths it's not that big of a deal, everyone goes through this.

I know how you feel, I have an older sister who is an adult but I still feel the need to be better or just as good as she is. I always would say to myself, "I'm so ugly I'm fat compared to her, why can't I be like her?" and after I won provincials in my ringette tournament I decided to stop because my sister isn't a ringette player, she's a doctor and I'm only a teenager, I still have my whole life ahead of me to see what I'm going to do, who I'm going to be and what I'm going to look like. I'm sure you're absolutely gorgeous, everyone is different, related or not, so don't worry. You are great the way you are.

Ok so two of my teachers are soo annoying! On of them is pregant and the other I don't know she is just rude and annoying! My english teacher (she is the one who is pregant) hates my class and I guess I am slipping on her boarderline bad side bcuz it is in my honors class and like everyone in their gets along so we can just all have one huge conversation so I am with all my friends so i am always talking and laughing when I am not supposed to!! Well she gets reelly moody! I hate her!
My science teacher is just crazy! The class can like not even be loud and she will yell at us and say that it is too loud! This week especially it seemed like she was PMSing bcuz she would be all nice and then she would just like yell at us for no reason! I have 7 missing assignments in her class too! It is mainly bcuz she doesn't give us enough time to do them, we aren't allowed to take the science books home so I never finish them so I can't turn them in! She also hands out assignments like everyday. like you will get one assignment one day and not beable to finish it and then the next you have to do another it is so annoying. My parents want me to tell her this, I plan on it to. I have a feeling I have a bad grade in her class too bcuz of all those missing assignments! What should I do about my teachers who are such jerks?!

If your grades are slipping talk to them after class about any extra credit projects. Trust me, they are soo worth it and can save your grade. Try to stay on their good side. Be polite, and watch what you say and who you say it to in class. <3 Jaime
