I really want a boyfriend, but my mom won’t let me get one. She says it’s stupid to have a boyfriend when you are a young teenager. She says it’s better to be good friends.

ok...if a guy asks u out, and u like them, u say yes. if u dont like them, then why go out with someone u dont have feelings for? tell ur mom that u'll only go out w/a guy who u truly like. Oh and ask her if she had boyfriends when she wuz a teen. if she did, say u want to have the same opportunity. if she didn't, say that just because ur mom didn't get the chance to do something, that doesn't mean u should miss out too.

i understand your point of view and your mom's. maybe try telling your mom that you know this isn't really serious dating, it's more just for fun. let her set boundaries for you and your boyfriend, but nothing creepy, like i have to watch you while your here.
let her know that you are maturing and that guys are more important to you than dolls.
hopefully she'll understand!

I think everyone underestimate teens. A lot of teens really do want real relationships. It is possible for a younger girl to find that one person. I know this sounds crazy and nuts and whateva, but people really do sterotype teens like they don't want a real relationship and just want to have "fun".

Umm ok, i really think this guy is really cute but he is in the 8th grade and im in 7th. me and my friends like to find out where he is and try for me to go and stand next to him. i have never heard him talk before, but i think he is getting a little suspicous about me kinda stalking him. today i thought i saw him pointing at me to a friend, but he could have been pointing to anyone because we were in a packed gym. what do i do!?

im always in that kinda situation
but this is what i always do and it works...
just tell ur friends that you dont wanna choose sides because both of them are your friends. also tell them that until they resolve the conflict, they wont have you there so they can talk trash bout the other friend.
im always in that kinda sitch and its really stressful, but if they're really your friends they'll listen to you and try to be nicer to one another. hopefully i helped! :)

well i got asked to attend the presidential innoguration in january in D.C, but it costs a total of about $3,000 and my parents cant afford it. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and i was asked to attend because of my high grades and exceptionally high GPA (im getting a 4.0). i really want to go, and i want to help my parents pay for it so i want to try to raise the money. problem is, i need to register for it and have the money ready by mid May. if i dont raise enough money, i wont be able to go :(. can u help me think of some money-raising ideas so ill be able to go? thanks! :)

That's good advice.
The guy that I *like kind if likes me, but we don't know each other very well, so he asked me to hang out with him over spring break. I think just getting to be friends and laughing and hanging out before you actually become his gf is good, because your mom will probably approve of being good friends before you jump into a relationship!

i understand what ur momm is saying, and in a way, she's right. girls should have BFs because they really love them, not just 4 fun. lots of girls have a BF 4 a day or 2 and then break up and find someone else. ur mom might be trying 2 save u from this. if u find a guy that u really love and really want him 2 b ur BF, become really good friends w/ him and let ur mom get 2 know him 2. if u and the guy really love each other, ur mom might let u go out w/ him. but don't try 2 rush it. just because u don't have a BF now doesn't mean u will always b single. good luck!!!

Want some sisterly advice? I'm here for ya. This tip worked for me in one week!!! I don't know what kind of relationship you have with this guy or if he's a player or w/e so keep that in mind before you apply this to yourself. Just ask him say "who do you like?" naturally, his curiosity will be sparked and he'll say to you "who do YOU like?" keep him guessing for a while. for lets say 3 days ask him the question and have him ask you back. after long enough to get his curiousity pumping finally look him in the eye and calmly say "you," just loud enough for him to hear it. I did this and within 3 minutes I had a super hot boyfriend. Oh course, he ended up cheating on me and he's not really my boyfriend anymore. It still kinda hurts like when you burn yourself. Totally unexpected and painful for days to come. But I wish you the best of luck okay!!! relationships can be so much fun. ♣

I understand just what you are saying my mom says the same thing, i have already had boyfriends before but now i am trying to do the right thing, but i am in high school so i don't know if i can keep trying to be the good guy for long lol. What I would do is talk it over with your BF. tell him you don't want to break up with him but that you have been dating him and you really aren't suposed to be bcuz of your parents rule. Then talk to your parents about it. Tell them you REELLY LIKE him. Then tell them the reason why you haven't told them or followed the rule. Tell them it is that he is such an awesome guy and when he asked you out you couldn't give that up! I hope they understand. My mom won't let me buy the clothes that I want. She always has to get the cheapest thing possible. She doesn't realize that I don't like those clothes. Heyy Mod So I am almost 13, I am not allowed to date. I feel that I am mature enough but it is that i am a daddy's girl. My crush isn't allowed to date either. It kinda gives the "Whats the point" feeling but I sometimes feel left out when I see ppl with a BF and they are so happy. My bro was allowed to date when he was like 12 but they were "close friends" (who held hands) my dad says not until 8th grade, sure that is only until September, but it does get annoying. And sometimes it doesn't feel fair.


Hey girl, you should sit down with your parents and talk to them about it. Ask them why they let your bro date and not you and talk to them about coming up with some way to let you date that they're comfortable with such as meeting the guy or something like that. If you're mature about it the more likely they'll let you date!

Hey girl, unfortunately, there's nothing you can really do since she's your gma. You could try talking to your mom about it and tell her that a lot of things she does annoys you, but ultimately you just gotta deal with it since she's family. Remember that everyone has crazy grandmas and that no one is laughing at you or making fun of you because of her!

That's a toughy, if she wants out because it's not good for her make sure she does it. If he makes those threats tell an adult immediately and hopefully they will be bale to help. This problem seems bigger than you and  your friend are and so I would strongly suggest getting an adult involved because it doesn't seem like a very healthy relationship.

Okay yesterday i road the bus home and a fourth grader started a a roomer that i was dating one of my best friends Caleb( I wish i was dating him) but he wouldn't say who in front of the kid. PLEASE HELP!!!! ok, so i broke up with my bf a couple of weeks ago, cause we needed a break for awhile. So I'd been wanting to ask him out again, so I was. Hey! If you def think that your bf wouldn't say anything like that, than give him the benefit of the doubt. If you find out anything else that's a little shady, approach him about it but don't be accusatory. Let him know that you're upset and that anything he could say to people to change the situation around would be greatly appreciated.

Then this other girl Nancy(not her real name) blamed her for telling this guy who i didn't want to know that I like one of his friends Luke.
