I had these 2 friends and we’re not friends anymore. Those “friends” and I both have this friend named Patrice. Well I guess she got in a fight with them because lately she’s been hanging out with me lately. But now, she’s friends with them again and whenever she’s with them they turn their back on me and are kind of rude. I don’t care, but she’s starting to be rude to me too. She still hangs out w/ me but when she’s with them, she’ll turn around and ignore me. What do I do?

Hey Girlie,
The biggest issue here is that you are making her a priority when she is thinking of you as a second option. She shouldn’t be hanging out with you just because her friends are mad at her. She should be choosing to hang out with you over these other girls. Especially because you’ve always been there for her when she needed you.
Confront her and ask her why when the other girls are around she gives you the cold shoulder. If you are open about how her behavior makes you feel, she can have the chance to correct it. She may not even realize what she is doing. She may be picking up on the cues from the rest of the group and following their lead. But even if that’s the case, she should stick up for you or introduce you to the group so you aren’t left out.
If she is cautious to invite you into her posse, take it upon yourself to introduce yourself or talk to them. There is no reason why you can’t make friends with them yourself.

First Comment? no i'm kidding but it may be so. Well I've had a friend like that and she is on the popular side now and I won't hang out wiht the snots in that group! They are rude and obnoxious and she is turning that way too! It really stinks!

MOD HOw was your day? Mine was great, we had a half day so I got home like 12:30. It was originally supposed to be a full day but the water wasn't working in the school (like the toilets, water fountains) so they made it a half day.

MOD!!!! I am so sickkk of my old group of friends. They are annoying now. I am making allot of new friends and sitting with them during classes and lunch and stuff, and not sitting with my old group. Well, they keep asking me why i am not hanging out with them and sitting with them. I just said i decided to sit with other people that one time, and they were like oh. But now they expect me to sit and hang out with them again- and i REALLY dont want to. What should I do and what should I tell them?
If you prefer hanging out with the other kids, just do it. Switching friends happens a lot.. and the "break-up" is always sort of tough. There's no good way to end a friendship. If you keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure they will eventually get the idea. +Kate S.

MOD- one more thing lol. I've been getting my periods at the end of the month and I should have had my period by now but it hasn't come yet. I'm afraid it will show up when i'm at bush gardens next week, and that will ruin my fun. : ( is there anything i can do?
Pop in one of those ultra light pads! If you're going to go on water rides, hit the bathroom right before and check to see if Aunt Flow has come to visit, and then go back right after! It's no big deal, don't feel weird around your friends going to the bathroom so much... everybody does it! +Kate S.

omg all the girls in my grade just had this problem!!! like seriously this entire week every girl has been fighting w/ someone. But today my friend made this speech and all the girls in my grade sat somewhere where we weren't w/ the boys and she read it and after tht we all said srry to each other and now i think either most or all of the fights are over. i know tht mine is and like all of my friends' are. but before she read it i was like in tears in the counselor's office b/c of it but i had my 2 bffs w/ me and my other 2 really close friends. but now we're all friends

I feel like my best friend is blowing me off for other people. She doesn't talk to me as much at recess, doesn't continue to talk on the phone with me, and doesn't call. She's also starting to make new friends. But we still hang out and it's all good. I know I shouldn't be worried, but I am. You see, I have this jealousy problem. In third grade I had a best friend who ditched me for another girl pretty much, we're still friends though.So I Think that's where I get that. I'm ready for a permanent best friend and I'm not sure my current bff is ready for that. I'm afraid I'll lose her next ear. HELP ME,PLEASE!

hello mod i have a problem kinda like this ? Lately i've been getting kinda frusterate with three of my friends lately. so i've been hanging with my other friend that they don't really like. well one of my friends came up to me today freaking out saying "why are you hanging with ____ so much" "you gotta stop it" and other stuff. but then in class she acted like nothing happened. then everytime at lunch hour when her and one of the other people walked by me and _____ they would give us dirty looks or roll their eyes ! do you know anything that could help me out ? its really bugging me. like i thought it was up to me who my friends are and not them !
Well, if you want to keep their friendship, then try to talk to them about the situation. tell them that they are being immature and that your friend is really nice. see if they will hang out in a group with you and your friend! if they arent accepting of someone that you care about, then maybe they arent such good friends. hope this helps! xoxo

I hve an ex-friend who is really anoying. Most people can't stand her. She had a really good group of friends who really liked her. ( The first in years). She totally blew them off! She won't talk 2 them and now she is just hanging out with the popular girls. She drives me crazy, but I don;t think she realizes how good of friends they were. What should I do? MOD Ok, I have this friend, and she has always been like boy crazy. But now it's gone like waaaaay to far for this one guy. The guy has a girlfriend, and she knows, but she constantly flirts with him 24/7. She dresses to impress him. And now she has it set up so that tomorrow night she'll be going to dinner with her mom, who's going with a friend, and the friend is bringing her son, who is bringing his best friend, the guy she has a MAJOR crush on. Her boy crazy problem just drives me nuts, she kind of forgets were there and it becomes all about him. Do you have any tips for helping me get through her boy crazy crisis?
Hey! you should really try to talk to her. She seems like she is getting really caught up in liking boys, and you need to tell her that its not all thats important, and if the guy has a girlfriend then she should probably back off. be nice about it, because chances are she wont hear you out the first time. good luck!! xoxo
