I’m in show choir. Show choir has less people than regular choir and consists of the best singers in the school. We get to do songs and each song is called an act. Usually kids get solos, duets, etc., and we have backup singers and dancers. Well I got 1 act while everybody else got 4 or 5. I even went and asked the teacher if there was a mistake and asked her if I could be in more acts and she said no. I feel like I was only put in show choir because I play piano. My teacher makes me feel like I don’t have a good voice and only wants me for my piano skills. It’s like my teacher has favorites and I’m not one of them.

Ugh, it always sucks when it feels like your teacher is against you. You think, "If only she knew how good I am!" Well, if she's not noticing it, tell her. Or better yet, show her. Try not to let it get to you and just do the best you can at what you are involved in. If you only get to do one act, ROCK THE SOCKS off that act! Show her what you can do. Then talk to her and let her know you feel you could handle some bigger parts if she gave you the chance, and ask her what you could do to get a better part in the future.
You also have to have confidence in yourself! How will she think you're good enough if you don't even think you're good enough? Once you believe it, it'll shine through. But most importantly, have fun! If you have too many expectations, you're bound to be disappointed somewhere down the line. So take whatever you get and enjoy it as best as you can while trying to do the best you can. Something like this is supposed to be fun, not make you feel bad about yourself. So hold your head up high and let the Beyonce in you come through.

MOD MOD MOD MOD i'm mad, my parents won't let me be in show choir, bc "it won't help you excel in life." I know that, and i know i should take spanich and journalism, instead of drama and show choir, but i feel like my parents are trying to make me a complete nerd when i get to high school. BC of the classes i will take, do you think people will consider me a nerd??
Hey girl! All of these classes r pretty cool and I'm sure ppl won't think you're a nerd. Maybe you can negotiate w/ your 'rents that if you take one of the classes they suggest, you can take one that you like to add something artistic to your schedule...Renee

Hey everyone! My school has a show choir too, and the teacher hat runs it is SO mean! She made my friend cry, and she also picks favorites. A ton of people are dropping out, so maybe she'll get the message...

MOD theres this guy i like and he said he liked me the other day when i told him i liked him but hes really nice sometimes but quite mean other times. like i was speaking to him on AIM and he just goes and? and stuff like that and i don't get whats going on why isn't he bein nice to me like people who hav crushes on other people should?
It sounds like this guy is confused about what he wants. Let him know that if he's going to continue to be rude that you are no longer going to be his friend...Renee

MOD he says he really likes me but its weird because hes nice sometimes and sometimes he isn't and it isn't fair on me i agree. thing is though he flirts with other girls in front of me and hes always saying how like he saw a girl today whereever he went that was really pretty.

Summer Chica~ I know the feeling! Almost everyone I know is really into rap, hip-hop and R&B. They make fun of me when I tell them that my favorite singer is Jimmy Buffett! I have such diverse tastes, you will find a soft Beach Boys song right after a heavy metal, scream-their guts-out type band. What I do is just agree with them when they call me weird, and I try, but don't alays succeed, to not come back with a sarcastic remark about the music that they're filling their heads with these days. xD. Well, it is really unfortunate that some girls make bad decisions and end up getting pregnant. possibly, a lot of girls are not aware of all the dangers of having sex and what can come from it. also, some girls dont have a good support system - whether it is family or friends - so they are insecure and turn to bad things to get through! xoxo

What you should do is go to an adult that you can trust and explain the whole situation to them. Explain that you don't want to get your friend in trouble but you are really worried about her.

MOD Okay, well I'm moving. And I'm pretty excited about it since I'm moving to Australia. But I have a question when I do move there I'm going to have my own room and I want to decorate it with tons of really cool decor and maybe even some pics of my friends. So do you know a good website that I can shop from? And it would be GREAT if the website shipped to Australia because my mom said I should try to not pack a ton of stuff. So it'd be better if I could buy the stuff online when I'm in Australia. I would try places like Target.com, I actually have a lot of cute stuff in my room from there. Also you could try Ikea.com, or you could try going to Claire's before you leave for small things such as picture frames.

Mod~ Ok I am like soooo frustrated with my hair! I can never be satisfied with it! Ok so its like I either put my hair in a pony tail, braid it, or put a headband in it.
