I want to date, but I don’t think I am allowed to. My parents really confuse me! About a year ago they said I could, but last week when my friend told them she wants to ask out my crush for me (she was just joking), they freaked! I feel like they don’t care about what I have to say. My bro is always talking about his GF. hey i totally no how u feel cause my 'rents won't let me date either. don't push it, u have 2 show them that u r responsible enough. try seeing if u can go out with a bunch of friends, like a group date, and then ask them what age they think it would be ok for u 2 date at. if u try 2 talk 2 them without whining it may make a whole lot of a difference.

Yo, my 'rents are the same exact way, when i had my first BF, my dad ttly freaked! My mom was kinda ok wit it. But anyways I have a Q! Ok here it goes, Theres this guy friend i have and we met in the middle of the 6th grade. My BFF used to date him in the 3rd grade but then he moved. Now i really like him. I mean i think flirts with me. We always chat in the hall. We are pretty much around each other all the time. I think im going to ask him to the dance. I really LIKE him and i am almost certain he likes me. But i dont know how my BFF will take it if me and my Best Guyfriend go out. If i do decide to ask to go out with him i will ask her first. I NEED help! i dont know wat to do.

MOD i am going to a b-day party 2 day a a movie theater from 4-6, and i have no idea if my friend who is having it invited my crush, and if she did, i really hope she did not invite the 2 girls who hang all over him, and gets all of his attention. if she did invite him, i really want to sit next to him... ut she wont tell anyone who she invited to her party, because she doesnt want any of the "you should invite her" or the "dont invite him" but anyway, how do i get close to my crush during the movie if she invited him? and i have no idea what to get her as a gift, i don't really know her that well, and i need an idea for little $$ thanks!

This is just wicked funny...so LOADS of guys like my pretty popular friend, Cat. So, we were going downtown last afternoon chatting about how sad it is that none of the boys in our grade were perfect. So I was like "But Alex is cute and wicked nice," and she totally agreed. So we're turning a corner, talking about the cuteness of Davis, and I go "But you and Alex together would look so adora-" and we stop dead in ouyr tracks because Alex and Davis were right there with a bunch of their friends. Heyy. I'm 13. and when we have boyfriends, we all go and hang out. i live in a small town. so, there isn't much to do. we all go hang at the outside mall. shopping., movies. fountains haha. every weekend, same thing. and i have to sayy, we are pretty mature for ou age. some of us are already 14. all of us going on 14. and i want to let you know, boys are TERRIFYING! haha. expecially if you haven't had your first kiss yet. JESUSS. that's all they want. i don't know how old you are, so how old? :]. my dad flipped when he picked me and my friends up last wekend. and i gave my bf a hug. he like had a fit! so, i talked to him about it. with my mom. and they actually understand. I would say talk to them! But, don't tell them what you WANT. tell them what you WONT DO. Like, hmm. I'm a strict chritian. so i let them know, that i wont do anything wrong. you sound like a good daughter, and your parents know if you are. so the trust is there. just firm it, do you get what i'm saying? :] They just don't want their little girl being hurt. and it will happen no matter how bad us, or the parents don't want it to. Boys, are yikes. But can also be totaly incredible to have. so talk to them about it, and make sure to get their side of it also. oHOHH, Promise rings, neclaces, braclets, whatever, parents really put their trust into. Hey girl, don't let your mom, grandma, and ex bff get you down. I'd try talking to a trusted adult about how you feel, they can help you sort things out. Don't make yourself feel like you're friends with the wrong crowd because of their religious beliefs, and don't make yourself feel like you should be acting more girly.

I think your parents are trying to be cool about you dating, but when your friend said that so suddenly, they freaked out thinking "we dont want our little girl to grow up!" maybe talk to them about it, and they'll probably be ok with it.

Try talking to your parents about dating, and show them that you're mature enough to date be being responsible about other things. And try talking to your skater neighbor sometime. Ask him about himself and get a good convo going. Good luck!

If this girl won't be mature and won't talk to you or change her ways, try talking to your mom (or dad or a trusted adult) about this. It's bad that those other moms are gossiping about you. Maybe your mom can help change things and deal with K's mom.

MOD~ What is wrong with me??? Why can't I be friends with guys? One of my friends who was new this year already became friends with a couple of guys and what about me? I have been there for a while and I still can't become friends with guys. There's this guy who I like and my friend and I sit next to him in one of my classes. The thing is my friend who sits next to him is the friend I was talking about. We are trying to get him to tell us who he wants to go out with but he won't admit it. My friend is getting closer to getting him to admit it...What should I do to become friends with this guy? Just be confident in your self. If you want to get a good convo started with a guy, ask him about himself (people love to talk about themselves). Once you find something you two have in common, it'll be really easy to talk to boys.

*****MOD***** Ok I have a bit of a problem. Ok my BFF has had a lot of guy trouble. She broke up with a guy she was really in love with (No that's not exaggerated.) You don't have to wait for him, but that doesn't mean that you have to run off and get a bf. If you still like him when next year comes around, then go after him. If you stop liking him before next year, then no worries. Just go for another guy. -lauren

MOD Do you have any ideas on how i can show my parents that i am responsible? I took care of my brother for an hour today, but how else can i show my parents that i am responsible? My mom said that if i show her that i am responsible, she will get me a cell phone before seventh grade. And I REALLY WANT THAT CELL PHONE!!! What should I do?
Here are some ideas to show that you're responsible: get super good grades, help out with chores around the house (without being asked to), offer to take care of your brother some more, and clean up after yourself. Good luck! -lauren
