mod, i am just about to finish 6th grade. since about maybe the middle of the school year, i've just stopped caring about a lot of stuff. if i forget to do my homework, instead of feeling guilty, inside i really feel like "oh what ever". im also starting to feel farther from my parents. is this normal for my age?

Hey girl! Sounds like you're going through spring fever. Find a way to motivate yourself! Do something active to work up energy to do your hw. Plan a movie night to re-create a bond w/ your parents. No matter how old you are, you should make room for school and family...Renee

The only problem is, my story is about a girl who commits suicide, and about why she did it, and about how wrong it is. i can't exactly show it to my paretns, bc they would want to see it before i published it. they pretty much think i'm oblivious to all the "stuff" that is resulting of the teenage life.

Let them know that you wanted to write about something that a lot of teenagers go through. They should understand...Renee

I'll try to talk to them about it. They try to see my work all the time, but im just afriad that they wont approve or something. I mean, I write about a lot of stuff that would just scare them half to death. I guess they might... I'll just have to let them read it or something... I mean, the message is a good one, I think... It means, 'Don't commit Suicide, bc I ain't worth it!' I dk, but i'll see. Thnkx!

ok, this is probably gonna b confusing!! OK, so, i rly like my friend (hes a guy, and we're kinda close), and he knos i like him. sum ppl say he likes me 2, but im not so sure. we talk a lot, and weve hung out 2 times. he tickles me all the time. also, this is all the things hes done 2 me in the past week

1) hugged me 2 times
2)tickled me like 384623748 times
3) offered me his jacket (but he does this with evry1)
4) (thisll sound wierd, ik, but im fine with it) poked me in my boob with a booby pin,
5) asked me if i have a vagina(ik, its rly wierd, but he was dead serious)
6)called me 4 times
7) walked me home from school.

Me and my BGF Zach french kissed and unfortuantly my ex-BFF saw us and told every1 in school and now every1 wants us 2 get married and have kids.Even my friends think so.I can't get it 2 stop cause once something likes this happens at my school every1 talks about it for months. Any advice?

I have a really important comment.
Ok, so my ex-friend told my friend who told another friend who told me that my ex-friend was pregnant. we are only in 7th grade, word around school is that she made out with a lot of guys and did some "other stuff" with a guy. She took pregnancy tests and all of them said she was pregnant. I know this may be a rumor, but she wouldn't lie to her friend about this, this is serious. My friend told me not to tell anybody, but the truth is, I'm not a really good secret holder. I have to tell some1.
Any advice?

ok. sooo. my teacher made me (well, not MADE me, cuz no one makes you do anything...so i guess reaaaally pressured me is better w.c.) read my elegy (a eulegy-sp?-in poem form) about my baby brother or sister that my mom had a miscarriage with, and 4 stanzas in, i started SOBBING uncontrollably..in front of my whole class. but i finished it...with a TON of breaks for tears...
anyhow..he apologized the next morning, and i told my friend, after thinking about it, to tell him i forgave him (she said he said:: that's such a relief! i felt sooo bad!)...because i didn't have the courage to tell him..and here's why:: i don't know if i really do forgive him. he totally made me humiliate myself in front of my entire class..and some of the boys aren't exactly mature..they, after all, are only in 8th grade..but anyways. all it takes is for me to THINK about that class in any way and i feel like i'm gonna get an ulcer..(or, his daughter is on my track team and i am thinking about quitting the team cuz he'll be at the meets.).
how do i finally move on and forgive him?? i'm trying so hard, and it's so unlike me to not forgive anyone..
i guess it's bc he made me look and feel so vulnerable and sensitive..and i am those things..but i've worked so hard to keep my happy persona going the whole year (even though i suffer from depression..but if you act happy, eventually, i've heard, you will be happy).
so please help me. language arts is my favorite class. or it was. and i want it to be, still..anyways we have a poetry slam and i need to work up the courage to even SPEAK in that class again.

hey hon, that's such a tough situation and I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. You don't have to forgive your teacher right away, forgiveness takes time and I totally understand you want to mean it when you do it, so take your time. He probably didn't mean it to be hurtful at all and is probably also upset, but you shouldn't stop that from enjoying your favorite class. Ok two questions......
1. I really wnat to run for student council at my school, but i don't have any ideas for posters or a speech. My friends said they'd help, but they don't really think it's a good idea. My BGF is the only one who's really supportive.
2. My BFF is really mad at me. She thinks that I ruined her chances of getting this guy (I'll call him M) to like her. I said something during science to my other friend (call him J), and I guess M thought i was talking about him, not J. M knows me because of my BFF. So i think he got mad at her 4 talking about him. But she won't tell me what really happened! how do I fix this???? Plz help!

1. for your posters, try to think of something catchy and witty for your slogan, maybe even put up a picture of yourself, most importantly, make sure people remember to vote for you!

I got a prob!Ok so last year we had to have family life with a guy teacher VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Because i didn't kn ow aloute about purburty. But now thats i'm in grade 6 we have to learn sex ed and guess what it is with a boy again i feel super uncomfortable! ALOT!
what should i do?

I understand you may feel really uncomfortable, but it should help to know your teacher is a professional and there's no reason to feel uncomfortable, he's just doing his job. But if it really bothers you, try talking to a trusted adult, such as a teacher or school counselor. ~L'Oreal

i think you should buy some cheap ones just to show her that you wont lose or break them, then maybe your mom will buy you a pair that you want. or maybe just buy a pair of non expensive, but stylish sunglasses

Ask yourself, do you NEED these sunglasses? Do you really care about what people think of you? If you answered no to these questions, then you probably should rethink getting them. If you still want sunglasses, go to a department store and try to find a stlye you like. Its not about how great and expensive the sunglasses are, its about who's wearing them!
