On my last report card I got 3 D's and this trimester my mom is making me stay after school on Tuesdays for homework club and making me bring home my homework even though its already finished!!! Also I can only use my cell phone when I need it. She’s driving me NUTS! Do you have any advice for my Momzilla??

Sounds like your mother isn't being a Momzilla, she's just being an amazing mom who's concerned about her daughter and her daughter's grades! Getting Ds is not acceptable and isn't showing your mom that you care about and respect yourself. Chances are, had you approached your mom about your poor grades before report cards came out and you had a plan of how to fix them, you might not be in such a pickle right now. Now you have to step it up. You have to show her that you are mature enough to take responsibility for yourself and your schoolwork. Don't complain about doing homework or having to show it to her afterwards – she needs to see that you are trying as hard as you can to improve those grades. Poor study skills and work ethic is something that stays with you forever. It's getting harder and harder to get into good colleges – the average freshman GPA at many schools is quickly approaching 4.0 (that's straight As!) – so you can imagine how much harder it is to win scholarships as well. It might seem like college is a long way off, but since the day you've been born – maybe even before – your mom's been planning and saving for your future. She just wants to see you succeed, and she wants to see you want to succeed as well.
Once you can prove to her that you can take responsibility for your grades and schoolwork, maybe then she'll begin to trust you again and grant you more privileges, like your cell phone. Right now, the way she sees it is that you haven't done anything to earn that particular privilege. Show her that you can.

She deserves to stay after school. Getting Ds? unacceptable. My school doesn't even give D's. if you get below a C you FAIL! I'm mostly A's and sometimes B's

you need to eat breakfast! its essential to starting your metabolism for the day! try to cut back portions, and instead of snacking on crackers and such, eat fruit and veggies! xoxo

Yeah, so D's are 'technically' passing, in some schools at least, but as long as she can ull up those D's then she'll be fine. I've never gotten all A's and B's because I'm not that smart...but I don't get lower than C's anymore. But anyway, CassieBaby, just make sure you try your hardest for the remainder of the school year (i.e. doing good in homework club, asking questions in class, concentrating more on studying for tests and quizzes) and prove to your mom that you deserve your other priveledges back! (:

MOD, PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP!! I need help! so last year this girl use o push me and my friends. We really dislike her. Everyone dosent like her. She just has to b the center of attention. Well anyway she is rude and last summer my mom told me 2 b nice to her and ask her how her summer went so i went over to her and said"hey howx your summer been?" and then she said "Girls lets go sit over there" and walked away!!UGH!! she hasnt done it any this year because last year me and my friends told the teacher. well anyway today me and my friend were walking close together and she ran right through us w/o saying anything. I am soo sick of her thinking she can do that to me and my friends. Shd i tell me mom? or should i just keep this 2 myself. Its not because this girl is insecure trust me. My dad knows her dad and he is a very nice man. i just dont know what happened to her! sry this was so long!

MOD i have a mega prob i have a crush on this one guy. he used to be a jerk and now hes being ttly nice to me and i think he likes me too now heres the prob: 1.) its my friends ex but she says that they didn't really go out 2.) my bff hates him and i dont wanna tell her that i like him its just i think he might ask me out and if i say yes shes gonna make fun of me foreva and im afraid that my old crush is gonna be weird about this (hes already a lil weird with us hanging out)well i liked my crush and he kinda likes me but he has a girl and now were friends again its just im afraid that i'll ruin our friendship(again) help me with all 3 of my probs plz!!!!

MOD or other girls Does anyone know some tasty-but-quick breakfast recipes that I could do around now, and maybe for the rest of the year? I'm getting seriously bored of Cherrios with sugar and Coca Krispies, plus I thunk I could eat healthier than that.
hey! does your mom let you use the stove? making scrambled eggs is good too. all you do is crack an egg in a bowl, add a LITTLE salt, pepper, and milk, pour into the pan, and then push it around until you get scrambled eggs. eggs are a great way to start the day!! xoxoashley

i am a 4.0 student but i dont like school that much i just do my homework but all u need to do is try to to put more effort in to ur school work it will pay off a lot in second grade we got homewrk and i never did it at all i didnt even turn it in once.i loved 4rh grade it waas soooooooooooo fun

MoD or girls UG! My parents are trying to get me 2 go to a stupid all girls catholic prep school next year, but I want 2 stay with my friends! They keep bugging me about it! i don't wan to leave the boys, I don't want 2 leave my friends, and I certantly don't want to go to a school with a religion my parents beleive in but I don't! How can I get them to understand that I will NOT be switching schools?

Aww...I'm not alone!!! I totally hear you, though i may still have txting on my cell, i'm getting close to summer school, and remedial math. which makes no sense since i;m only failing at an honors level. (NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN!!) but I may just repeat too. uh, why must drawing be so fun, and school so darn boring?! don;t worry, a D is WAYYY better than an F. trust me.

all it takes is a little focus. i'm with ya---it cn be SOOOOO hard to concentrate with school and the pressures that come along with it! but it really helps to just do homework right away and get it over with then you don't have to think about it all the rest of the day. that is, if that's why ur getting bad grades. it's ok.... just a little confindence, self discipline, focus and taking ur time, and ur on ur way to success! good luck girlie! ♥cassie♥

Brenda -- Just tell your mom that you are disappointed that you got a D- and know that you are not doing your best. She may get mad at you, but let her blow over before you fight back. Also, instead of wallowing over your grade, throw all your energy into getting good grades for the rest of this year. I know you can do it! xoxo

*** mod*** my friend has over protective parents. She asked them if she could go to a concert downtown with me and my other friend. she even wrote a letter about the reasons why she should be allowed to go and how she won't do anything stupid. she's 15 and the cocert is all ages. today she got fed up of trying to convince her parents so we ordered the tickets online. her mom saw the tickets sheet and called me and said she can't go. this is our fav band and it's unfair. she even had a talk with her parents about it and NOTHING works. help?
