I am so sick of boys throwing things at me, like pen caps and stuff. And once during PE they threw a baseball at my back! And also, they call me bad names sometimes. I think they treat me this way b/c I have bad acne. I'm not the prettiest thing and am overweight. I’ve told them to stop and I’ve told teachers, but nothing works. I really feel like a baby asking for help, but I really want this to stop!-Smuckers94Don't feel like a baby! Anyone in your position would want it to stop, and we're all here for you. And if they're not getting whatever it is they get out of picking on you, they'll probably give up. But if you don't have any confidence in yourself, you are only letting them win. So try to show that you don't care what they say or do—why would their actions and opinions be of any importance to you? Confidence can give a person a glow like no makeup kit or outfit ever could.So, if at all possible, avoid and ignore them. Dismiss their immature actions as just that—immature. don't feel so bad! if they keep doing it to you turn around and say "ok, i know you like me but throwing things at me isn't the way to do it." they will get so freeked out and try to start making up excuses fo rit. but trust me it always works.

MOD*** this is a really weird question but yea. i have a crush who is about to be my boyfriend and im totally excited about it. the problem is, im allergic to peanut butter and anything related to it (peanuts, tree nuts, etc.) and im so scared if he tries to kiss me but ate any peanut products beforehand, because i come in contact with it, ill die! it would be awkward asking him everytime we are about to kiss. what can i do?

redsoxchica4444~ ask who was her 1st bf when she started dating, or wat she thinks of your bgf/bf. if she says no then tell her that bgf ased you out and you really like him and u said yes but then you remembered her opion counts and you'll keep grades up and stuff like that and if she still says no then ask for a trial basis like try it for 2 or 3 weeks and if it doesnt work out then need to break up or if works then stay together.

hey, mods and fellow GL girls! i need some help. my BF and i have been going out for about a month and a half and i'm super happy, he's the most amazing guy ever! so today we were hanging out with some friends and he had to go. we usuly hug and he kisses me on the cheek, but when he went to kiss me on the cheek i kinda guess he tried to kiss me ON THE LIPS! i freaked and turned my head, not to send the wrong signal, i like him A LOT but i just freaked. does anyone have any advice for me so i don't get nervous the next time he tries to kiss me? as you can probably guess, i haven't kissed a guy before, LOL! This same thing with the teasing about acne happened to me a few years ago. I told my mom about it because I had tried to tell him to knock it off. Even though I didn't want her to get involved, she called my homeroom teacher anyway and the teacher got me and the 'bully' together and he apologized. It's pretty cool - now we're friends! In any event, just stand up for yourself, and if that doesn't work get someone with authority involved. Good luck!

Hey smuckers94, Im new to the sight because i just got my package, but I know exactly how you feel. Most of the time at my school it happens to me but usually its verbal and it really hurts. I found the best thing to do is just try your best to ignore them. Its kind - of hard sometimes but just pretend that you don't care and maybe they will stop. Unless you really think this guy isn't into you, you should still try to get him. Instead of commenting about him, try asking him an open ended question so that he has to respond to you. That way, it'll be easier to get a convo going. good luck! -lauren

********MOD************ Aright here's the thing. I'm an average girl with everything I need. One problem.....MOM! Yup, that's my problem. Don't get me wrong, I love her and all but yea she's a bit annoying. Like, she keeps me on parental lock-down almost 24/7. She doesn't treat me like a baby though. But she's just too much. Everytime I go somewhre out....she calls almost every 15 mins. She hardly let's me out of the house. And NO BOYS!!....never ever! Ugh, I try talking to her calmly about this but it seems that we always get into a big fight.
Try proving to her that you are responsible by getting good grades and helping out around the house so that she knows she can trust you to be a good kid. Then try compromising with her- tell her you'll call her every hour that you're out so that she knows you're safe. Good luck! -lauren

I just try to ignore him like in PE they throw these super soft fleece balls which end up being super hurtful because they play baseball so yea I have the feeling. If a teacher doesn't work try a parent.

*Mod* *Readers* *Somebody* I am so in love with the most popular, hottest, sexiest guy in my grade. Problem is, I am the very opposite of popular. I am in fact sort of the leader of the "geek" group. No, seriously. I'm the only person in my grade to get a 4.0 for the 1st semester, if that helps. I am so hopelessly in love!!! Oh, the OTHER problem is, he has a girlfriend in the grade ahead of us. I always walk by them when they're hugging or holding hands or something. It makes me so sad. The OTHER OTHER thing is, he is a super hot hispanic and i'm his skinny little ugly white girl. I always feel so embarrassed when I'm around him. I always look ugly and tired cus i've got these dark circles under eyes that cover up won't hide. I'm also like had and shoulders shorter than him. Sigh. It's so annoying, cus he flirts with me too. Except he flirts with ALL the popular girls. MOD whenever I talk to guys I always end up saying something stupid. Like today my brothers friend asked me where he was (normally we walk into school together and today I was alone) and I said "he's sick" but actually he wasn't he was just going to the doctor and he came to school like an hour late. Like I could've just said "he's going to the doctor" but I couldn't think. like I don't even have a crush on this guy, I just could not think of the right thing to say. I bet we'll have an arguement with the LAX guys on Monday at practice (it's a long story, something about what we did last practice) and I will not be able to say something smart (and true) to defend my team. I'm not saying I plan to argue or anything, like I'll try to avoid them, but if I know them they'll try to start something. Normally I'm a quick thinker so why do I freeze at times when I really need to say the right thing?
Hey girl, this is a normal reaction when girls talk to guys. What you should do is when a guy asks you a question, take a deep breath and a second and wait before you answer. Obviously you shouldn't wait a long time, but just wait a second to collect your thoughts and think of what to say. You could also think about things you want to say to certain people before you ever talk to them so that you have a couple fake conversations played out. That'll help make you less nervous!~Kristin
