How do you use a paddle brush and hairdryer to straighten your hair?

******MOD****** okay so i have 2 questions 1. i started to notice that my hair is greasy. not the whole thing but just a section in the back is greasy. how do i get rid of it???? i take a shower at night cuz i play sports after school, should i take one in the morning too??? i heard it was bad to take two showers a day tho. HELP 2. i like this guy but hes really immature and mean. no matter what he does i STILL like him. why does this happen??? how do i get over him??? HELP!! thankss!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Taking two showers a day is a bad idea, but you can try washing your hair twice when you take one shower (and make sure to use conditioner). With the boy problem, just try to find another cutie to distract you from the immature one. xoxo lauren

~MOD~ Hey. So I like this guy who I'm pretty sure likes me back. I went to my brothers basketball game a couple days ago, & he had a game there as well, so I decided to watch him. Whenever he would make a basket he would look & smile at me. Even when he wasnt playing, he was looking at me. The only problem is that he is one grade lower than me. What should I do? I try IMing him but he is always away & stuff. What should I do to hint that I like him?
Try flirting with him when you are at school or around him. If you make the flirting obvious, then he'll get the picture!

To use a paddle brush, take the top portion of your hair, tie it up. Start underneath. And DONT keep heat on it, it burns your hair so much. Once dried, put into two braids and start with the top portion. If your hair is still wavy, go over on a low settng with a starightener. The way they descirbe it will take forever, for some people medium amount of hair is the same as some who have really thin hair, all in one.

MOD MOD MOD do you know any fun things to do with naturally stick straight hair? i mean it's thick but it's so STRAIGHT!! i don't really have ideas... curly hair must be so much easier!!! also, do highlights really dri out ur hair? cause my friend said they do...
Well the grass is always greener on the other side. Plenty of people with straight hair want it to be curly and plenty of people with curly hair want straight hair. You can try curling your hair with a curling iron if you want to switch it up a bit. Highlights will dry out your hair, but only if you dye it or highlight it freuqently. -lauren

MOD MOD MOD i started wearing mascara when i was twelve and now that's still the only make up i wear. i only wear it about twice a week is that too much? did i start too early??? my mom waz cool w/ it cause it's only mascara (sometimes concealer when i got pimples)... did i start too early? should i stop?
If you like wearing mascara, that's perfectly fine. I know plenty of girls who wore mascara at 12 lauren

MOD!!! I have a friend who will change stories to the way she wants them to be or the way she thinks they are. She says she was with me when this girl told me something when really she was not even close to me. I know it shouldnt bother me that much but it does. She does it with all the stories and whenever I tell her the way it did happen or that she wasnt with me she will make a face and say yea i was. I was right next to you. What should I do? It gets sooooo annoying!!
Tell her that you don't like she lies about it, and call her out on it when she does (but don't be mean about it). Ask her why she lies about things, and work things out with her. -lauren

MOd~ i'm 13 and for my birthday party i am having a beach party. it started out as all girls but now its boys and girls. i dont really feel comfortable wearing a bikini in front of some of the boys plus now my mom wont let me. but then again i really dont want to wear a one piece. are there any other options that are still cute besides a bikini and where would i find them?
There are some really cute one piece suits out there with different shapes. Try looking at different store that sell only swimsuits because they'll have the best selection. -lauren

cheergirlxoxo: if you don't already have them, try some layers. i have them and it makes my hair SO much more wavy since not all the hair has the weight of being at full length. and if that doesn't work, maybe you just need to take the plunge and get a new, shorter cut. hope i helped

cheergirlxoxo, You could Straigten it and pull it into a ponytail or messy bun or something and clip your bangs back. Or You could pull it into a side pony or something like that. idk, I have hair that goes about 2-3 inches below my shoulders and side bangs, but I really don't know what do do about the bangs. Try googleing pictures of celebs with bangs or something, reasearch! ♥good luck!♥

yeah also, don't forget to use a heat tamer spray. it protects your hair from the heat of a straightener. i use tresemme heat tamer spray. good luck with straightening!

when i blow dry, i use a round brush. it works ok but, you know, my hair like flips in weird directions and i usually end up straightening it with a flat iron afterward. idk what to do to make it easier. my hair is layered so it kinda automatically flips in a certain direction at the ends....

luv2dance32- if you want ideas for your hair, it depends on your hair type. if your hair is straight and can hold a curl, try using a hair waver like one i use from Bed Head, to make your hair wavy. if your hair is curly, scrunch it with mousse or gel! and if your hair is straight and will not hold a curl, try just flat ironing it straight. if you want to go as far as to get a new haircut, maybe get side bangs and layers... i love mine!

love2dance32- if you want to wear mascara, just outright ask your mom! say "Mom, i was thinking about maybe trying to wear a little more makeup, especially mascara,"... if she says ok then great! if she says no, then maybe tell her that you'll only wear it for special occasions. then when she sees that you are resposible about it (cause you will be) and you dont apply too much (cause you wont) she will probably let you wear it more often. that's what happened with my mom. at first it was just for special occasions, and now i wear it everyday... she even lets me wear eyeliner!

swimmingduckie- try a tankini! they are cute, and they cover your mid-section. some good brands are delias, or like swimming brands, such as roxy or billabong. try their websites, or just find a store where they sell just bathingsuits. other option as monokinis, which are part bikini (with cutouts) and part on piece (its all attached.) they can be a little more risque than tankinis though, so they might not be a go...

blonette- try using a heat protectant on your hair. i use one that is for curly to wavy hair (for frizz control) and it also protects it from the heat. there is a good selection of this type of product that ulta, or even at a supermarket in the hair section.
